Tsipouro which takes its name and its taste characteristics from the Muscat Hamburg variety or, according to many, the Black Muscat of Tyrnavos and is distilled in small copper stills in the heart of Tyrnavos.
The Muscat Hamburg variety is a red grape with intense aromas. The characteristic rose aroma reveals the typical character of the variety, while hints of raisin and dried fig are linked to the long tradition of tsipouro.
