I have used various Philips trimmers and shavers, and they all had a common charger, except for this one which has a different one. So, when traveling, you have to carry another charger. It does not run on power from the charger, it only charges, which is completely unacceptable for a Philips machine with Nickel batteries. Two trimmers that I had, worked while charging or when the batteries were not holding a charge, so when the batteries in this one go bad, you have to open it and replace them or throw it away.
Another negative characteristic is that it makes a lot of noise compared to other machines to the point where you can't stand it when you want to cut something close to your ear.
Lastly, while other machines are completely waterproof and can be cleaned with water without worrying about them breaking, with this one you have to be careful not to get it splashed, a big flaw.
With all these negatives, it seems like a product that has not been designed by Philips since it differs a lot from its other similar products. If, on the other hand, it is like the company's future products, then I will not prefer them again.
As for the performance, I don't have an opinion yet because I have only used it a few times.
Έχω χρησιμοποιήσει διάφορες μηχανές Philips κουρευτικές και ξυριστικές και όλες είχαν ένα κοινό φορτιστή, εκτός από αυτήν εδώ που έχει διαφορετικό, οπότε σε ταξίδι πρέπει να κουβαλάς άλλον ένα φορτιστή. Δεν παίρνει ρεύμα από τον φορτιστή για να δουλεύει παρά μόνο για φόρτιση πράγμα τελείως απαράδεκτο για μηχανή Philips με μπαταρίες Νικελίου. Δύο κουρευτικές μηχανές που είχα, δούλευαν κατά τη φόρτιση ή όταν οι μπαταρίες δεν κρατούσαν φόρτιση, οπότε όταν χαλάσουν οι μπαταρίες σε αυτήν εδώ πρέπει να την ανοίξεις και να τις αλλάξεις ή να την πετάξεις.
Άλλο ένα αρνητικό χαρακτηριστικό είναι πως κάνει πάρα πολύ θόρυβο σε σχέση με άλλες μηχανές σε σημείο να μην την ανέχεσαι, όταν θες να κόψεις κάτι κοντά στο αυτί σου.
Τέλος, ενώ άλλες μηχανές είναι τελείως αδιάβροχες και μπορείς να τις καθαρίσεις με νερό χωρίς να φοβάσαι ότι θα χαλάσουν, αυτή εδώ πρέπει να προσέχεις μην τυχόν και πιτσιλιστεί, μεγάλο φάουλ.
Με όλα αυτά τα αρνητικά μοιάζει σαν ένα προϊόν που δεν έχει σχεδιαστεί από την Philips αφού διαφέρει πάρα πολύ σε σχέση με άλλα παρόμοια προϊόντα της. Αν απ' την άλλη είναι σαν αυτήν τα μελλοντικά προϊόντα της εταιρίας, τότε δεν θα τα ξαναπροτιμήσω.
Όσον αφορά τις επιδόσεις τις δεν έχω άποψη ακόμα επειδή την έχω χρησιμοποιήσει πολύ λίγες φορές.
