Discover Yamazakura Blend, an exceptional Japanese whisky of the Blended Malt type with an alcohol content of 40%, released by the historic company Sasanokawa Shuzo. Its name hides a beautiful story, as it comes from the Japanese words “YAMA,” meaning mountain, and “ZAKURA,” meaning cherry blossom. It is produced in a completely traditional way from 20% malted barley and aged for at least 3 years in bourbon and sherry casks. Thanks to Japan’s distinctive climate with hot summers and cold winters, its maturation is accelerated, giving the spirit unique complexity and richness in a short period of time.

This fresh and fruity whisky will charm you with its elegant structure and smooth, delicate character. On the nose, you will immediately notice orange blossom aromas (orange flowers) and notes of oak wood, while on the palate a rich palette of orchard fruits, caramel biscuit (or salted caramel), as well as notes of vegetables and olives, takes center stage. Its finish is medium-length, clean and balanced, full of rich vanilla. It is a refined choice, ideal to enjoy neat, on the rocks, or in a highball, just as it is commonly drunk in Japan.
