I have placed it towards the edge of the desk and the screens are asymmetrically arranged (one right in front of me, the second on the left and diagonal), yet there is no stability issue, it is solid even though the weight is unevenly distributed.
On the vertical axis, the only adjustment is in the central pivot, so if you have two different screens (like me), they may not sit at the same height due to different VESA points, and there is nothing that can be done about it.
For the minimal amount of money it cost, rightfully 5 stars.

As soon as the first screen is put on, the base cannot balance, at least with the 27-inch ones that I put. I would suggest having two people so that there is no risk of damage to the screens from falling.
