The water storage tank features an internal stainless steel coating. This results in a long lifespan, as it prevents corrosion and rust formation, ensuring always clean water.
Tank technical specifications
- Thermal tank made of stainless steel 316 L HiMo.
- Heat exchanger made of stainless steel 316 L HiMo.
- Thermal tank insulation (polyurethane 70mm, 35-40kg/m³).
- External cover of the thermal tank made of non-magnetic stainless steel 304 BA.
- Safety valve (relief valve).
- Specially designed electric resistance, anti-corrosive, with safety thermostat.
- Anti-corrosive (anodic) protection.
- Hot water outlet.
- Closed circuit pipe.
- Cold water inlet (water supply network) with safety valve 10atm
Collector
The collector has a surface area of 1.95m², capable of producing up to 195 liters of hot water. It is selective, the type most commonly used in solar water heaters in recent years. It has lower heat losses compared to a simple collector, thus providing higher efficiency.
Collector Technical Specifications
- Frame and back of the collector made of anodized aluminum
- Collector surface with blue selective coating made of 0.5mm thick selective aluminum sheets, welded with laser technology.
- Hydraulic skeleton entirely made of copper
- Fiberglass insulation at the back with a thickness of 50mm and rock wool insulation on the sides with a thickness of 20mm.
- Absorption coefficient α ≥ 0.95 ± 0.02
- Emission coefficient of selective surface ε ≤ 0.05 ± 0.02
Triple Energy
It is triple energy, meaning it can operate in three ways: with solar energy, with electric energy, or with hot water from the central heating of the house. This means that inside the water tank there is an electric resistance, as well as a coil through which the hot water from the radiator produced by the central heating boiler circulates. So, on days when there is little sunshine due to cloudiness, you will be able to operate your solar water heater either with electric energy or from the boiler, to always have hot water.
Solar Water Heater Maintenance
Regular maintenance of the solar water heater optimizes the quality, hygiene, and operational performance, while also saving on energy consumption. For the smooth operation of the solar water heater, regular maintenance by a specialized team is required. The necessary actions during the maintenance of the solar water heater are:
- Checking the level of solar fluids & refilling where necessary.
- Inspecting and repairing the insulation on the local solar pipes.
- Inspecting and replacing the magnesium anode to prevent the formation of scale inside the solar water heater.
- Inspecting and cleaning the electric resistance.
