We have had the basketball hoop for 3 days. It took us 2 days to set it up and today was the first day we played with my kids on it. It is incredibly sturdy construction to such an extent that it exceeded our expectations. There is no discussion about the quality, of course, this will show over time, the tragic drawback is the instructions to set it up. If you follow them, you will either destroy it or injure yourself in the process. It requires good tools and at least 4 strong adults. It must be set up in 2 phases. The first involves the first central beam on the base, then the second, and in the second phase, the third beam must be connected to the lifting arms independently and then the second phase must be attached to the first. For this to happen, the first phase must be tilted forward and there must be support (a chair or something sturdy in the shape of a P) to then attach the backboard. Then there must be weight (sandbags) to be placed on the back of the base as soon as the basketball hoop is lifted high (here the arms are needed). The lifting mechanism will now be screwed onto the bottom and it is best for the rim to be installed last (unless we can reduce the tilt by lifting the support so that we can place it immediately after the backboard.
