The Childhood Fears, the second book in the series "School of Restless Parents," emerged, like the first, the Childhood Loves, from recorded evening discussions of the author with a group of parents. Restless about what happens to their children, at home, at school, in society. Restless because they do not settle but seek to learn.

Starting each time from a specific parent's question, placing it in its general context and offering theoretical and scientific keys, the dialogue then, the book now, tries to provide answers and create new questions. All of this seems, and is, very serious, but, as the reader who lets themselves be entranced by the atmosphere of each "evening" will realize, the narratives, sometimes moving, sometimes tragicomic, ultimately find relief thanks to the Socratic maieutic irony of themselves and each other, and a solution thanks to their organization by psychoanalytic discourse.
