It is generally accepted that without knowledge and understanding of syntax, it is not possible to approach ancient Greek language correctly. Relying solely on mechanical and rote memorization not only fails to produce desired results but also harms the learner. This may sound somewhat unusual, but according to some references, this is how things probably are.
It becomes easily apparent how difficult position a teacher would be in if they focused only on the form and did not see the substance, especially if the student genuinely or intentionally asked for proof of the correctness of their opinions. Would it be reasonable to expect them to be convinced without arguments?
This work, the product of intense reflection and long-term study, would not have been published if there was not a belief that any interested party (philologist, student, pupil) studying it can systematically address various problems with evidence-based methods. And it has certainly not escaped our attention that any idea provoking rupture finds fervent opponents among the complacent.
