This review is about the packaging: 96 gr

When you hear "Greek coffee," your brain expects to taste chocolate, nuts, and earthy aromas. With this coffee, as soon as you open the bag, you get a scent of acidity, fruity aromas, like wine, a sign that they use arabica with fruity notes and a light to medium roast. The crema is thin and blonde, indicating they use minimal robusta, and you need to pull the briki off the heat quickly so you don't lose the crema entirely.

Surely the old masters of traditional Greek coffee did not have fruity notes in mind. Whoever wants fruit should go drink a Colombia or Costa Rica in a cappuccino. Greek coffee needs Brazil as a base with the addition of some other varieties if you want to add complexity, with robusta India at a rate of 20%-30%. This thing is not Greek but something else. And it's extremely expensive. Since there is Single Origin arabica and the "Cosmopolitan," whoever wants acidity and such can buy and drink those; I don't understand why they ruined it like this.

We know this coffee and we consistently prefer it, of course, packaged. If anyone has a recommendation for the ground coffee from Loumidis coffee shop or another, it is welcome.
I was very satisfied with the offer and the speed of service from the store I chose.

Nothing like the old good Loumidis since Nestle took over. There are much better options such as Arapina, Ouzounoglou, and Katsonis.

For 30 years I drank Loumidis green. I used to tell everyone that I didn't want to hear about any other packaged coffee. Lately, I got some from the supermarket and the coffee is undrinkable!! I threw it away. I don't know if it's the batch or if this is how it will be from now on, but either way the company has ruined its name. It's a shame after so many years

In terms of quality, it's OK, but as for the price, the middlemen and the points of sale have gone overboard. The same coffee in Skopje at a Greek-owned market costs €2.67, while here it ranges from €4.15 to €5 depending on the day and the company's - supermarket's pricing mood. That is, in Skopje they also pay import duties and it is still cheaper.

Its aroma when you open the bag gives you the impression of something good, but its taste is terrible. It is one of the worst I have tried and many private label supermarket coffees are much better. It does not settle quickly to clear, resulting in a muddy appearance

Due to the fact that Greek coffee bothers me, I drank it at my father's house after a long time and its taste was nothing like the quality we have in mind when we hear Loumidis Papagalos, because as I mentioned above, I hadn't had it in a long time. I asked some others who drink Greek coffee regularly and they told me the same thing, that they switched brands and were greatly disappointed by this company, and with the price increases, I think that private company supermarket coffee might be better in taste than Loumidis. (I also wonder about the good reviews)

I wonder why people choose a product based on its name. There are coffees out there with much richer flavor. When you drink a coffee and it feels like you're putting dirt in your mouth... better leave it. For the sake of competition and to lower prices in stores, most of them have compromised their quality

  • When you hear "Greek coffee," your brain expects to taste chocolate, nuts, and earthy aromas.

  • We know this coffee and we consistently prefer it, of course, packaged. If anyone has a recommendation for the ground coffee from Loumidis coffee shop or another, it is welcome.
I was very satisfied with the offer and the speed of service from the store I chose.

  • Nothing like the old good Loumidis since Nestle took over. There are much better options such as Arapina, Ouzounoglou, and Katsonis.

  • For 30 years I drank Loumidis green.

  • In terms of quality, it's OK, but as for the price, the middlemen and the points of sale have gone overboard. The same coffee in Skopje at a Greek-owned market costs €2.67, while here it ranges from €4.15 to €5 depending on the day and the company's - supermarket's pricing mood. That is, in Skopje they also pay import duties and it is still cheaper.
