Description

Vidianos comes from mountain vineyards in Heraklion and is a blend that has matured in a 400 lt inox amphora and 50% new barrel. It ferments with its own yeasts and has remained with the lees for 10 months. The 2016 vintage is slightly floral and somewhat tight in the mouth with a nice balance of acidity and body. The production is only 1300 bottles and the alcohol is very restrained at 13%. It is more on the mineral and mineral side of the variety and evolves nicely in the last months, in the mouth it is thicker, perhaps more Vidiano with the measures of the variety, with fruit purity, accuracy of expression and elegance. The packaging is also quite innovative, including a visual illusion of the variety's name, while for the first time the name of Nikos Karatzas appears on the label. It accompanies grilled vegetables, pasta, fried fish, poultry.
