Description & Specifications

Organic Oolong tea from Clearspring. Oolong tea has a mild taste and a delicate floral aroma. Also known as blue tea, it is situated between green and black tea.

The production process includes the fermentation of tea leaves, which are then steamed to maintain their subtly rich flavor. It is pleasantly consumed throughout the day, but is particularly customary after meals, as a digestive beverage.

The oxidation levels in oolong tea can vary from 8% to 80% depending on the production style of the main tea. This is why the flavor profile of some oolongs can lean more towards a fresh green tea (less oxidized) and others towards a robust black tea (more oxidized). The biggest difference between oolong tea and black or green tea? Oxidation and shape. 2. *Oxidation is the process where the leaf changes color from green to light brown and then dark brown. The more it oxidizes, the darker the tea and stronger in flavor compared to other types of tea.
