Tank

The water storage tank features an internal enamel coating, which covers the interior of the tank at every point and is the result of applying enamel (glass) on metal. This results in protection against rust, as the water does not come into contact with the walls, ensuring always clean drinking water.

Technical specifications of the tank

  • Solar water heater made of European steel with a thickness of 2.5mm and a cleaning flange of φ140 with a special glass coating and certification for drinking water use.
  • Jacket made of European steel with a thickness of 1.5mm for transferring heat from the closed circuit to the interior of the water heater.
  • Thermal insulation made of environmentally friendly, chlorofluorocarbon-free, expanded high-density polyurethane with a density of 50kg/m³ and a thickness of 50mm and 60mm, and a thermal conductivity coefficient of λ=0.0180W/mK.
  • External casing made of specially coated steel sheet in gray color (RAL 9006).
  • Specially designed and formed snap-on side covers (without hinges) in gray color (RAL 9006). Electric resistance flanged 3.5 kW with an immersion thermostat. Magnesium rod 22x300 for anodic protection and prevention of electrolytic corrosion.

Collector

The collector has a surface area of 2m², capable of producing up to 200 liters of hot water. It is selective, the type that has been more commonly used in solar water heaters in recent years. It has lower heat losses compared to a simple collector, thus providing higher efficiency.

In addition, it has a special titanium coating, which minimizes thermal losses and provides better performance and greater savings.

Technical specifications of the collector

  • Frame made of anodized aluminum profile, high aesthetics, without external corner connections and back made of anodized galvalume.
  • Selective surface absorber with special titanium oxide coating.
  • Hydro-skeleton absorber made of copper pipes Φ8 & Φ22mm.
  • 4mm thick tempered safety glass with high transmittance t>0.94 and absolute sealing against the frame.
  • Thermal insulation made of stone wool with density d=50kg/m³ on the back of the collector (back).

Triple Energy

It is triple energy, meaning it can operate in three ways: with solar energy, with electric energy, or with hot water from the central heating of the house. This means that inside the water tank there is an electric resistance, as well as a coil through which the hot water from the radiator produced by the central heating boiler circulates. So on days when there is little sunlight due to cloudiness, you can activate your solar water heater either with electric energy or from the boiler, to always have hot water.

Maintenance of Solar Water Heaters

The regular maintenance of the solar water heater optimizes its quality, hygiene, and operational efficiency, while also saving energy consumption. For the smooth operation of the solar water heater, regular maintenance by a specialized technician is required. The necessary actions during the maintenance of the solar water heater are:

  • Checking the level of solar fluids and refilling where necessary.
  • Checking and repairing insulation in the local pipes of the solar water heater.
  • Checking and replacing the magnesium anode to prevent the formation of deposits inside the solar water heater.
