    Nice machine at a good price but I have some negatives. Firstly, I don't like the way it starts, it talks about a smooth start which for me is not true and was a criterion I chose it for. I have other machines that have a smooth start and it's not related at all. And secondly, at startup, it sounds like it's ringing, the sound from the motor is not clean, it sounds like a bearing. I also got the free base which is perfect and very useful. The cost of just the bench, as I saw on Screwfix, is about 240 euros. And I can say I enjoyed it more than the machine.

    Amazing tool that is worth every last euro. I acquired it in early January 2022 and I am completely satisfied with its cuts, low noise, and smooth engine start/stop. The miter saw comes with a free workbench worth 250 euros (for a limited time). It also has a very high-quality finish on its aluminum parts and plastic components. It is very easy to calibrate the miter cutting. The only negative is that I found the instruction manual missing and had to download it in PDF format from Makita Hellas.
