This slightly peaty whisky comes from malted barley, infused with smoke during the drying process. It is a reflection of history as the original 19th-century distillery operated by burning peat. The mild distillation is followed by maturation in specially constructed warehouses. The result is a wonderfully smooth and rounded whisky.
On the nose, initially smoky aromas with notes of fruit and fresh sea breeze are followed by vanilla and oak wood. The abundant blossoming flavors in the mouth coexist with raisins and spices. The malt opens the palate, the sweetness of honey closes it. The soft peat tones guarantee a gentle, persistent aftertaste.
