Just received the Crosswave. It is great for cleaning large tiled surfaces. In the bedroom Iit is easier to use good old mop if you want to clean under the beds.
I bought the machine primarily to clean a lot of small carpets and rugs. Otherwise we have to pack them up and send them to the carpet-cleaner service or pull them onto the balcony and wash them with Vanish Carpet cleaner by hand. Instead of that expensive and time consuming annual job, I washed the large rugs with this monster machine and watched the colours I had forgotten come back to life in front of my eyes. No soggy carpet to dry, just a little damp and OK leaving windows open. The other thing I like about the Crosswave is that if you are lazy like me you can wash the carpet in the middle of the room then flick the switch and wash all around the edge with the hard-floor setting. This is a good system if you are expecting visitors and want everything to look and smell clean without doing all the work that this would normally require! Let’s hope the visitors do not inspect under my carpets. I tried to clean some small tufty rugs but the edges got slightly caught with the hoover action. And because of the lumpy tufts (woven strips of material and jute) it didn’t do a great job which is fair enough. Although it is sold as a multi floor cleaner and recommends ‘rugs’ I can’t see why this will not work on my larger carpet. I am actually looking forward to taking out that dusty old carpet to see what I can do to it with this machine. Moving onto the bathroom floor tiles – OK you need to clean the bathroom floor with more than just this machine as it doesn’t get into small spaces but if you push and pull it slowly you will see the colour of the grouting improve. It is best not to have any witness to see what is in the dirty water tank when you empty it. After two loads of cleaner fluid the stuff collected from my floors added up to what looked like a small dead cat.

I bought the vacuum cleaner a year ago for two reasons: 1. To sweep and mop at the same time, because the house is big and we have a cat that leaves a lot of hair, and 2. The annual cleaning and refreshing of three large rugs, about 5-6 square meters each, and other smaller handmade rugs. A few years ago, when I gave them for washing in a rug washing machine, one of the small rugs came back with holes, meaning that the machines used removed the pile in many areas and ruined it. In October, when I opened them and saw it, it was too late for tears. Since then, I decided not to give the rugs for washing again and to follow the traditional cleaning method, which is sweeping and then hanging them on the railing, brushing them first with diluted soflan for wool, then brushing them with water and white vinegar, and finally washing the white fringes with diluted skip. It is a laborious task, and even though we did it with the lady who helps us with cleaning, I didn't want to think about it when May came.

This specific vacuum cleaner is quite heavy, and until you learn how to use it, you wonder if you should have bought it.
1. As for the first reason I bought it, the vacuum cleaner sweeps and mops very well, except for about 2 cm at the edges that you have to do vertically and areas under furniture. It is better than the traditional mop because it doesn't recycle dirty water, and you have the feeling of a truly clean floor. For dried stains, you have to insist, and once they soften a bit, they will come off. Besides, even with the mop, they don't come off immediately. Be careful, the brush that comes with the vacuum cleaner is not suitable for polished floors. It scratches them. I realized this on the wooden floors in the rooms after the first 2 times, and I didn't do it again, and on the marble floors, which are the rest of the house, after several times of doing it, I finished them. I had to buy the brush for wooden floors, which doesn't have any red plastic bristles, and since then, I sweep and mop with it normally on both the wooden and marble floors. On the marble floors, I use Pronto for marble with lukewarm water, and the condition has improved.
2. As for the second reason I bought it, the rugs. I also had to buy the brush that has only red plastic bristles. First, we swept them dry, without water, with the brush with the red plastic bristles. This brush does a good deep cleaning without pulling and "distressing" the pile. Then we sprayed the whole rug with diluted soflan using a sprayer. This was followed by sweeping and washing with plain water using the brush that comes with the vacuum cleaner, and then sweeping and washing with water and white vinegar. This was really easy and quick with this vacuum cleaner compared to the traditional method we used before. Of course, in the end, we had to hang the rugs on the railing to wash the white fringes, and this was the most tiring part of the whole process. The rugs turned out "like new."

Conclusion. No, I don't regret buying the vacuum cleaner, and it's enough that it relieved me from the stress of the annual cleaning and refreshing of my handmade rugs. Attention, if you have polished wooden or marble floors, you should purchase the brush for wooden floors and the brush with red plastic bristles for deep and thorough carpet cleaning.

Positives:
1. Long cable.
2. It spreads the scent of the cleaner in the room and it smells nice.
3. It manages to remove stains from my rabbit's urine, even if it's been a day, with just 2-3 passes.
4. It manages to suck up small debris. Simple dust, hair, fur, or pellets, it has no problem with them.
5. It doesn't make as much noise as the Nilfisk buddy II that I have.
6. The brush roll collects both my rabbit's hair and mine, as promised.
7. It has an automatic cleaning function.

Negatives:
1. You have to secure the cable high on the handle that has a special groove, or else hold it with your other hand because when you pull it back after moving it forward, the cable tends to get in the way.
2. It doesn't have great suction power compared to the Nilfisk buddy II that I have.
3. It is a bit heavy. For example, after cleaning a room, I switch hands because my shoulder starts to ache.
4. Due to its design, it has some corners where it doesn't suck up debris. So, if you are on a carpet, for example, it doesn't suck up all the way to the edges.
5. It requires cleaning at the end. Even though it has an automatic function, the dustbin definitely needs separate cleaning. And it would be good to clean the brush roll as well.
6. It doesn't do a good enough job of scrubbing the floor, which I had a hidden hope for. So, stains like oil that had fallen on the marble in the past cannot be removed no matter how much you let it run over them.
7. I tried to see if it can pick up my rabbit's droppings apart from pellets. I was not satisfied. If it's just a couple, it's fine, but if there are many, it doesn't work.

I tested it on marble, parquet, and tiles.
I was very satisfied with its performance on parquet as it gave me the impression that it penetrates well into the wood's pores, maybe because the brush roll rotates on top of it. It made it shine and smell nice. It was just okay on marble. And on tiles, sometimes when you pull it back, it leaves some debris on the grout because it sees them as an obstacle for the brush roll.

I believe its function as an electric mop is better than as an electric vacuum cleaner.
However, 260€ for an electric mop is too much.

On the other hand, if you want to invest in a good machine for hard floor surfaces (not carpets), you will have to increase the price significantly. So, it is what it is.

After a few months, I might provide an update.
