Description

Titan

In the ELCO TITAN electric water heater, the steel boiler is internally covered with TITAN glass coating of new technology. This material is extremely durable with up to 100% longer device lifespan, while it has almost no pores, making it immune to any microorganisms and bacteria. Additionally, thanks to the special enameling method using vacuum technology, which is exclusively applied by ELCO, the boiler is fully and uniformly protected.

Result: The boiler is completely protected against corrosion.

Magnesium Anodes

The dual anode magnesium produced by ELCO for the ELCO TITAN water heaters, in a total quantity multiple times the usual and twice as much as dictated by standards, ensure complete protection of the boiler from electrolysis.

Electric Water Heater Safety

The ELCO TITAN water heaters feature not only a safety thermostat but also a special thermal electric safety, so that the boiler is protected doubly from overheating.

Safety Valve

The special safety valve of ELCO TITAN water heaters provides absolute protection against overpressure.

Temperature Controller

The ELCO TITAN water heater with an external temperature controller allows you to always have 4-season water in your bathroom. You can adjust the water temperature according to the season and your needs, saving up to 50% on energy consumption.

Polyurethane Insulation

The enhanced insulation of ecological polyurethane with a minimum thickness of 25mm & density of 40krg/m3, injected with a special method applied only by ELCO, covers every part of the water heater with absolute precision.

Result: Less thermal losses to the environment, saving energy, while the water remains hot for a longer period of time.

Capacity

Based on its capacity in liters, it can meet the needs of a 5-person family and the water heats up in approximately one and a half hours.

Installation

The water heater can be installed horizontally on a wall. Horizontal installation provides easy maintenance, but care must be taken when installing the base on the wall.

Water Heater vs Electric Boiler

The electric water heater operates using electric energy, where the resistance inside the water heater is heated and thus the water is heated.

On the other hand, the electric boiler, in addition to heating the water through electric energy, has an internal heat exchanger (coil) with the ability to connect to the central heating system, to assist in the production of hot water. This limits the use of electric energy.

This means that once connected, the hot water produced by, for example, the oil boiler, heats not only the heating bodies but also the water in the water heater, thus promoting savings during the winter months.

When it is cold and starts to warm up, there is a leak somewhere and the safety switch trips. I have called an electrician. The wiring is correct and there is no problem with my panel.

Extremely unfortunate purchases of two Titan water heaters, to replace two Elco water heaters bought 47 years ago, which were still functioning!!! One broke down in 5 months from its installation, and the other in 7!! Shocking, but absolutely true... Never replace a device that has been working for a device manufactured in 2020!! There is no comparison between the old and the new

Very good water heater for a family of 4, be careful to maintain it every 2 years for the warranty to be valid.
Edit: The pressure relief valve must be the one that comes with it for the warranty to be valid. When there is high water pressure, it starts to leak (which is correct and at the same time annoying) and the options to make it stop are specific and it is better to talk to a plumber. In case you change the pressure relief valve to 12 bar, for example, it stops leaking but you lose the warranty (it happened to us) in case of damage. High pressure is not good for the operation of the water heater. The easiest thing is to lower the pressure from the faucet that supplies water or from the main switch of the house, which of course reduces the pressure in the entire network.
    Thank you.

Titan floor-standing water heater 80 liters, purchased by me and installed by a plumber. This is the second Titan I have installed in 7 years. It is used by one person, for about 20 minutes on average per day throughout the year. And suddenly, after 3.5 years, it stopped working. And it also "burned" the thermostat, just like the other one I have in another apartment. The warranty is just a piece of paper that no one bothers with when the "high-quality" water heater with a 10-year warranty suddenly "dies". You call a plumber, change the thermostat, and you are charged for the replacement part and labor. Luckily, the plumber has become a good friend and provides immediate service.

Titan vertical 60 liters, purchase and installation by a plumber. When you offer a 10-year warranty, you should have checked that your product can function flawlessly for 10 years, especially when you pay extra for it. In 7 years, the thermostat burned out. It is used by one person and has an average daily operation of 30 minutes, only for bathing. Of course, no warranties apply, nothing at all. You call a plumber and pay for labor and replacement parts. Luckily, it hasn't presented any other issues yet.

    Completely useless water heater!!!!

    1) The relief valve leaks and floods the bathroom even when the water heater is halfway filled with hot water.

    2) The hot water indicator is faulty and poorly designed from the factory. Even after a replacement was done under warranty, it remains faulty. The technician from the same company told me that it is a design flaw in all models.

    3) A no-name water heater from the 10-year-old upstairs keeps the water hot for much longer and, of course, without any corresponding compromise as mentioned above.

What a shame. It only serves as a decoration due to its color.

It broke in 7.5 years!! And the warranty was not valid...

Beware of the "Only one with a 10-year warranty"!! This is true under certain conditions and you find out after you purchase it, you have to carefully read the warranty book.
On all the websites and advertising materials - that I found online - and of course on ELCO's official website, they talk about a 10-year warranty, without mentioning any conditions...
Be careful, ask for the conditions under which the warranty is valid...
We, of course, will not buy ELCO again, very poor customer service, and I believe they mislead by not mentioning the conditions under which the warranty is valid on their website...

In 2 years and 2 months, the thermostat and the heating element burned out. The warranty only covered the first 2 years, so I wasn't covered. I wouldn't buy this water heater again.
