The DALI SUB C-8 D is designed to perform impressively both in movies and demanding music playback, proving that it is the exact opposite of a simple "boombox." It incorporates a powerful and detailed down-firing 8-inch woofer. Its lightweight and agile cone is made from high-quality paper pulp, exhibiting excellent breakup characteristics. This allows the subwoofer to accurately reproduce the different textures of a bass guitar, rather than a single, annoying noise.

The signal is managed with absolute integrity thanks to the built-in Class D amplifier, which delivers a constant 170 Watts RMS, with peaks reaching 220 Watts Peak. Its extremely linear design follows the original audio signal with minimal error. To protect the system under challenging conditions, DALI incorporates a smart limiter that continuously compares the input signal amplitude and the available voltage, gently cutting the signal if an overload risk is detected, without affecting the peak power.

The sturdy cabinet made of MDF wood is designed and manufactured according to DALI's strict standards, offering a perfect match between the box volume and the driver. To completely eliminate aerodynamic vortices under the device, four large polymer spikes raise the cabinet by 30 mm, effectively decoupling it from the floor. This elevated arrangement maximizes the benefits of the down-firing architecture, providing higher acoustic performance and optimal dispersion of low frequencies.

With built-in controls for gain, crossover frequency (Crossover 40 - 120Hz), and phase, the SUB C-8 D effortlessly adapts to the acoustics of any room. It features a stereo LINE input (RCA) as well as a dedicated mono LFE input, making it compatible with almost any amplifier or AV receiver on the market. Thanks to its compact size, it can be easily placed in a corner or along a wall, making it the ideal acoustic complement for the popular OBERON and SPEKTOR speaker series from DALI.
