The Olympia Electronics BS-819 Kit digital room thermostat controls heating or cooling and consists of a wireless transmitter and receiver that communicate at 869 MHz. Its backlit display shows multiple readings, including the temperature in degrees Celsius or Fahrenheit. The temperature can be set from 5 to 45 °C and measured from 0 to 99.9 °C. Measurement accuracy is 0.1 °C, and calibration can be adjusted by 3 °C.

It includes a boiler output with a selectable duration of 1 to 240 minutes, an adjustable differential of 0.2 to 1.5 °C, and frost protection at 4.5 °C. Features include ECO mode to switch off the display backlight, a keypad lock, PIN-protected usage limits, and RF signal strength and low battery indicators. It is wall-mounted indoors and powered by two AA (LR06) alkaline batteries.
