The ZX adhesive is suitable for tile installations on walls and floors, both indoors and outdoors. Its thixotropic properties allow for the bonding of tiles on walls by starting the placement from top to bottom. Adding DUROSTICK's ACRYLIC EMULSION to the mixing water, in a 1:1 ratio, improves its technical characteristics to meet the requirements of category C2T (improved cementitious adhesive), according to standard EN 12004, and group S1 (elastic adhesive), according to standard EN 12002. This way, the adhesive is suitable for low-absorbency tiles as well as substrates that are subject to temperature changes.

Surface preparation:

The installation surface must be stable, clean, free from loose areas, dust, paint, grease, oils, and should be moistened before application. Absorbent substrates and porous concrete should be primed with ACRYLIC EMULSION or D-20 from DUROSTICK, in a 1:1 mixing ratio with water. Gypsum boards should be primed with micro-molecular stabilizer AQUAFIX or DIAMOND PRIMER from DUROSTICK. Cementitious screeds on floors, lightweight or not, should be primed with ACRYLIC EMULSION or D-20 from DUROSTICK, in a 1:2 ratio of water or 1 part DUROMAX to 5 parts water. For balconies and terraces, apply HYDROSTOP FLOOR in 2-3 consecutive cross layers to ensure waterproofing of the substrate.

Application:

Empty the contents of the bag into a clean container with water, in a ratio of 2 parts water to 5.5 parts powder (6.0-6.5 liters of water to 25 kg of powder), and mix with a low-speed drill until a homogeneous mass without lumps is formed. Allow the mixture to mature for 5-10 minutes and periodically stir without adding additional water. Apply the adhesive using a notched trowel, spreading it on the substrate. Then comb as much area as needed to work for the next 10-20 minutes (depending on weather conditions), avoiding the formation of a "skin". Finally, place the tiles in the desired position, tapping them gently with a rubber mallet.

Consumption:

3-5kg/m², depending on the size of the trowel notch, the smoothness of the surface, and the dimensions of the tiles.
