First of all, I have to say that I shaved for many years with these razors, either the Slalom or the simpler ones. On May 24, 2017, I bought the Gillette Mach 3 razor. I shaved with it on the same day (my own review can be found on skroutz).
The Gillette Blue II Slalom razors are one of the cheapest solutions for shaving. I note that they do not have a special strip on the top of their head for a smoother shave. The problem is that I have very coarse facial hair and a sensitive spot on my chin. Even though I have been using special foam for coarse facial hair for many years, I would easily cut myself with these razors. And if I didn't cut myself, my skin would become very irritated. And when I applied the Axe Africa Aftershave, it stung a lot.
As a result, I avoided shaving. However, since I switched to the excellent Gillette Mach 3, I want to shave much more frequently. Because I no longer feel any pain and the shave is very comfortable and closer due to the three blades instead of two.
If I try to compare the Mach 3 with the Gillette Blue II Slalom razors, the Mach 3 is far superior in every aspect. Its cartridges last for 10-15 shaves each. Its handle is metal with plastic reinforcement to prevent slipping from the hand. It provides a closer shave. It is tough on facial hair but very gentle on the skin.
Therefore, I cannot easily recommend the Gillette Blue II Slalom razors when the Gillette Mach 3 is available. And if the latter seems expensive to you, consider that the razors only give you a maximum of 4-5 shaves before you throw them away. Whereas each Mach 3 cartridge provides 15 shaves. So, the slightly higher cost you will pay for the Mach 3 will be immediately offset by its high overall quality.

Πρώτα απ’ όλα πρέπει να πω πως ξυριζόμουν για πάρα πολλά χρόνια με αυτά τα ξυραφάκια είτε τα Slalom είτε τα πιο απλά. Στις 24 Μαΐου 2017 αγόρασα την ξυριστική μηχανή της Gillette, Mach 3. Την ίδια μέρα ξυρίστηκα με αυτήν (σχετική δική μου αξιολόγησή της υπάρχει στο skroutz).
Τα ξυραφάκια Gillette Blue II Slalom είναι από τις πιο φθηνές λύσεις στο ξύρισμα. Σημειώνω ότι δεν έχουν ειδική ταινία στο πάνω μέρος της κεφαλής τους για κάπως πιο μαλακό ξύρισμα. Το πρόβλημα είναι ότι έχω πολύ σκληρά γένια και λακκάκι στο πηγούνι μου. Αν και χρησιμοποιώ επί αρκετά χρόνια ειδικό αφρό για σκληρά γένια, με τα ξυραφάκια αυτά κοβόμουν πολύ εύκολα. Και αν δεν κοβόμουν ερεθιζόταν πολύ το δέρμα μου. Και όταν έβαζα το Aftershave Axe Africa, έτσουζα πάρα πολύ.
Με αποτέλεσμα να αποφεύγω το ξύρισμα. Όμως από τότε που πήγα στην εξαιρετική από κάθε πλευρά Gillette Mach 3 θέλω να ξυρίζομαι πολύ συχνότερα. Γιατί δεν πονάω πια καθόλου και το ξύρισμα είναι πολύ άνετο και πιο βαθύ λόγω των τριών, αντί για δύο λεπίδων.
Αν επιχειρήσω να συγκρίνω την Mach 3 με τα ξυραφάκια Gillette Blue II Slalom, η Mach 3 είναι κατά πολύ ανώτερη από κάθε άποψη. Τα ανταλλακτικά της κρατάνε για 10 – 15 ξυρίσματα το καθένα. Η λαβή της είναι μεταλλική με πλαστική ενίσχυση για να μην γλιστράει καθόλου από το χέρι. Κάνει πιο βαθύ ξύρισμα. Είναι σκληρή με τα γένια αλλά πολύ μαλακή με την επιδερμίδα.
Συνεπώς, δεν μπορώ να συστήσω εύκολα τα ξυραφάκια Gillette Blue II Slalom όταν υπάρχει η Gillette Mach 3. Και αν σας φαίνεται ακριβή η τελευταία, σκεφθείτε ότι τα ξυραφάκια σάς βγάζουν το πολύ 4 – 5 ξυρίσματα και μετά τα πετάτε στα σκουπίδια. Ενώ κάθε κεφαλή της Mach 3 βγάζει 15 ξυρίσματα. Οπότε, τα λίγα παραπάνω χρήματα που θα δώσετε για την Mach 3 θα τα αποσβέσετε αμέσως λόγω της πολύ υψηλής συνολικής ποιότητάς της.
