Before I start, I want to say something important: Many of us make the mistake of using the classic WD-40 rust remover for everything in the house. However, the rust remover is meant for loosening screws and cleaning rust!!!
For lubrication and 'smooth' operation, the right choice is silicone spray!!!
    Why it's worth having:
At Home: It's a lifesaver for door hinges and for the rails in sliding aluminum windows that 'stick.' It protects the rubber seals in the fridge or the gaskets in faucets so they don't dry out, and it makes curtain rods slide effortlessly. Also, if you have drawers that are hard to open or zippers on tents and covers that have 'stiffened,' a single spray is enough to make them work perfectly. Even for garden tools, it helps prevent soil and rust from sticking.
In the Car: It works wonders on door rubbers (stops squeaks while driving) and helps seat belts retract faster if they've become sluggish. It also perfectly lubricates the window guides if they go up with difficulty.
The big advantage: Unlike regular oils, it doesn't stain, doesn't smell bad, and creates a transparent film that repels dust and moisture.
In short: With a single spray, you can forget about noises and wear in dozens of places. For the few euros it costs, the job it does is simply priceless. Don't think about it, just get one to have in your cupboard
