When they discovered Scotch whisky, the master blenders became familiar with sherry through the aged whiskies in sherry barrels, which are known for the rich, deep flavors they offer. Thus, they decided to explore this style and then create a blend of malt whiskies, which age in barrels of Spanish sherry and Spanish red wines.

The special whisky series from the independent bottlers Compass Box takes us back to 2000. At that time, John Glaser believed that there were too many companies manufacturing and selling Scotch whisky in the same way. So, he created a different kind of company based on an old model, which involves blending at home, but with a progressive approach and an unceasing desire to create quality. Today, Compass Box holds a new way of producing blended Scotch and malt whisky. This involves creating open-minded, original, and different whiskies, starting from the blend and aging, to the name and packaging of the spirits.
