Very good and very economical choice! With the Muhle R89 it gives me excellent results, combined of course with high quality soap.

They are not AS sharp as the red Astor blades I had tried before these, but as a result, my skin does not get irritated at all, and with a quick second pass they give a perfect shave. In my opinion, they are well worth it.

I suggest you get packs of 5 blades from different brands so you can compare them yourself and see what suits you

Very good for its price, but obviously it doesn't suit everyone. Personally, I used it with several razors, soaps, creams, and beyond the positive impressions it leaves due to its sharpness and overall performance, it always leaves me, even if only slightly in the best case, with some irritation. However, if someone is into traditional shaving, they should try it, if they haven't already, to see if it suits them.

The first time I shaved with a razor I got cut, I felt burning and pulling, the second time it was better, the third time even better without anything with plenty of lather, I tried them on a Gillette Slim Adjustable with very good results, I worked them with plenty of lather.

7 years in traditional shaving after many blade trials, I ended up with the ASTRA old ones, which are hard to find now. Fortunately, I have 300 of them! With the Muhle R41 on 2-day stubble and above, it gives a wonderful shave with two passes. It fits perfectly with the Merkur 500 and gives me fantastic shaves. I do two shaves and then toss it. Unfortunately, the new ones with the laser printing do not have the same sharpness, and during the second shave, it pulls. I should mention that to judge a blade, you need to have prepared your skin and have good soap or shaving cream. As a second choice, I prefer the Perma Sharp

If you are very experienced and have a good foam, they don't irritate, but if you do it for the first time, it does irritate you quite a bit, to be honest

It didn't suit me at all; it caused me quite a few irritations. I believe it's better for someone to get a sharp blade, like a Feather, since the sharper the blade, the fewer irritations it causes you.

It always depends on the skin, but for me, who gets irritated easily, they do the job. I recommend them, as well as the Platinum ones from the series. The ideal, guys, is when you are looking for razors to talk to your Barber.. a professional will always help you more!

I ordered it based on reviews, good razor although I have coarse hair, I used it on a 2-day stubble only so I haven't seen what it does on a 1-week stubble, the 1st time it pulled a lot and created irritation and small nicks with a adjustable machine on setting 3 today for the 2nd time I set it to 5 and had a very good and close shave, you feel a pull for quite a while after shaving after 2 passes because I think the shaving process is a ritual that doesn't need to be rushed so I always do 2 passes after a shower with an omega simple synthetic brush and procasso green preshave and soap with perfect glide, I would say it's better than the Feather so I give it a rating of 7/10 we'll see how long it lasts on the cutting edge

They fit me perfectly. For me, the best razors, even better than the more expensive Feather Platinum

Thin and sharp razor, quite reminiscent of the Feather. With a bit of technical skill, it provides an amazing shave and lasts quite a while, perhaps forgiving a bit more than the Feather but it's close. They hold up well, definitely 3-4 shaves (with 2 or 3 passes) or even more.

I give it 4 stars only because I do not have much experience with blades. Nice glide on the skin and no need to pass the razor twice on the same spot.

I have no experience in traditional shaving, I have 2 razors and I have tried 2-3 blades: Gillette King something, Astor, and Feather. Also, I have tough, very tough beard. The first time I used it, it went well. The razor had a lot of drag, but I had prepared well and it didn't irritate me. Well, the second time with a shorter length, it left me with redness, while I felt it was pulling the beard excessively. I used a new blade, not the same one.

For me, Feather is top-notch, while Astor by BIC did well. This one is for the trash.

My barber, who uses it, told me that it takes 1-2 shaves to start working well. It may be true, but I won't investigate further.

It remains my favorite razor despite its quality deterioration. Compared to the ASTRA ones I had bought several years ago, the new ones are less sharp and durable.

For everyday use, it is a good choice. Personally, I haven't had any irritation even with a rushed morning shave against the grain. It lasts for multiple shaves, about 6 shaves per week.
The only observation is that, like with the Stainless steel, I feel my skin pulling for about half an hour afterwards. Something I don't experience with other blades.

It struggles a bit on 2-day-old facial hair. Used with the Mulher R89 razor.

In the end, the large number of passes from the same spots, combined with the inefficiency after 3-4 uses in 1-1.5 weeks on a beard, and the many irritations if you handle it at a slightly higher speed than that of a turtle, make it an unfavorable choice for me.

INITIAL EVALUATION: Reading the positive reviews of other users, I chose this specific blade. It is a fact that it approaches the beard-hair in a gentle way, it doesn't pull it by cutting it, and you don't feel hostile towards the blade. Nevertheless, it provides a fairly close shave, doesn't irritate the skin, and doesn't require you to shave against the grain to achieve a very good result.

Very smooth blades and sharp as they should be! They suited me very well! I use them frequently. I believe they are worth trying as they are also very affordable

I shave my head with this every two days or so. I have hair, so I do the whole surface of my skull as well as the lines on my beard. It doesn't irritate my skin, it works fine, maybe it could go a bit deeper, but I guess the razor also plays a role. At least I don't easily cut myself, which is important for the head. I don't know how long it lasts because I throw it away after each use. For its price, it's fine, although it used to be a bit cheaper

No matter what machine I tried them on, I get such a result. They don't suit me.

In my own skin (sensitive with dense hair growth and I only shave my neck), it feels like I'm shaving with a saw. I am not very experienced in traditional shaving, but I am not a complete beginner either. Generally, although many blades leave me with irritations, I don't cut myself with any... Except for the ASTRA!!! We're talking about a massacre... They don't last more than one shave and they rust... They cut half of the hairs and pull a lot, resulting in having to go over the same spot multiple times.

Excellent razors that offer a close shave and last long.

*I'm coming back after two years when I ran out and tried the regular Astor. The Astor cut just as well, maybe even better, and last twice as long. Unfortunately, after the third shave, the Astra are ready to be thrown away. So from five stars, they've dropped to three for me.

The subject regarding razors is purely subjective because, on the one hand, every skin is different, and on the other hand, the blade itself behaves differently depending on the machine it is applied to.

Regarding the matter at hand, this specific label is one of my favorites. Having tried it on many heads, my opinion is that it provides a deep, high-quality, and satisfactory shave as long as it is applied within the appropriate head. There were heads with which I experienced irritations and cuts, but also heads where everything went wonderfully.

I always do three passes. The first one with the direction of the hair, the second one perpendicular, and the last one against.

Final conclusion. For those who have multiple heads, before dismissing a blade as unsuitable, they should try it with all of them.

Unexpectedly good, the green blades of Astra. I expected that due to their price, they would be mediocre but they provide 4 good and smooth shaves. They have been tested on rockwell 6s and muhle r41, with excellent results on both.

It is a sharp blade with a good cutting edge and it shaves the hair depending on the quality of the soap or foam. This means that the better the soap is in terms of materials and its ability to soften the hair, the easier the blade will cut it. This does not apply to more expensive blades like perma, feather, which cut everything. I have used the same blade up to 5 times, but I noticed that after the 4th use, it did not cut well. However, because it is a hard blade, it provides comfortable shaves for up to 3-4 times. So, for its price, it is a worthwhile purchase.
