For 20 years I had a similar one, maybe the previous model. Many consider Gerber's steels to be soft. I know that the previous one was a beast! I have never abused a knife so much.
This one has a little issue with the safety. It's a bit stiff and uncomfortable. I will also miss the serrated part that the old one had.
I bought three (3) more as gifts.

  • I had bought it again 5-6 years ago but I lost it at some point. Just like the first time I got it, the blade is quite sharp. However, this time the blade is very difficult to close. To the point that it's dangerous to cut yourself while trying to close it. If your hands have even slightly sweated, it's better to close it another time. If the force required to close it was at normal levels, for example like the first time I bought it, it would have gotten 5 stars.

  • Well. Small yes sturdy yes but! Small blade and difficult to open and even more difficult to close......it gets stuck with the large one that holds it and requires a lot of pressure and simultaneous pushing............5-6 euros okay.......but for more than that, no way

  • Fantastic! I am in love with this knife, but it is a bit too short to cut fruits like apples.
