Description

Thigh High Compression Sock with Closed Toe Class II

They activate and stimulate blood circulation. Prevention of thrombosis and embolic episodes. They reduce the feeling of heaviness in the legs.

Composition:

  • 36.2% Lycra
  • 12.5% Roica
  • 51.3% Nylon

Indications:

  • Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) for the treatment of swelling symptoms, to prevent or manage manifestations of post-thrombotic syndrome (PTS).
  • Preoperative and postoperative to maintain therapeutic success.
  • In patients requiring mandatory bed rest for an extended period.
  • Enhanced varicose veins during pregnancy.

Phlebitis:

Phlebitis is caused by twisted and enlarged veins close to the surface of the skin. It is a condition that occurs most commonly in the legs and ankles. It is usually not serious, but can sometimes lead to other problems. The valves in the veins ensure good blood flow from the legs to the heart. When the valves do not function properly, blood pools and pressure builds up, leading to swelling of the veins.

Symptoms of Phlebitis:

  • Burning sensation in the legs combined with pain and fatigue, especially after prolonged standing.
  • Swelling in the legs and ankles.
  • Itching over the vein.
  • Swelling and pain in the lower legs.
  • Open sores or bleeding after minor injury.

The predisposition to valve weakness is often hereditary. Known risk factors include heavy manual labor, long hours of sedentary work, poor nutrition, and the use of high heels.
