I had not played NBA since the time of the PS1, some NBA Live that existed back then.
It seems updated in many aspects since then (strange if it wasn't) but it seems to lack in many things like handling and finishing moves in gameplay. The fact that it has the CAREER MODE keeps you engaged along with the neighborhood where you play with other players, but even today you will find players, but how many seasons will you play? You will get bored quickly.
I found the handling to be a bit tricky, with the systems and all, but you learn them, it's not something difficult.
In MYTEAM MODE it is interesting and keeps you engaged, but not for long.
I was obsessed with the game for about a month.

I bought it last year during quarantine and I still play it today. The Neighborhood is much better than 21. The builds are very nice and they don't limit you like in 21 where you can't do speed boost if you're not a guard. Generally, as unbelievable as it may sound, more people are playing 2k20 than 2k21 at the moment. That says a lot

First engagement with the title. Not a big basketball fan, but as soon as I started, I didn't want to stop. Nice introduction to the career (mycareer), but once you go to the first team, there is no significant development in it, regarding the story! You see a difference in statistics and overall gameplay when your player reaches 88-90 overall. Huge customization possibilities in the team you can create for my league. It's interesting that you can play with NBA legends in my team! Also, the fact that you can play seasons with women's teams adds another incentive. The first contact with the title left a very good impression on me!!! 10/10!

I bought it for 14 euros, 19 with shipping, for this money it's worth more than 25. The downside is that it requires PS Plus and such, but the My Career (singleplayer) is satisfactory, the online is very good, but the only downside is the server issues, if you have bad internet it's not for you.

The first NBA 2K game, I mean right now, instead of buying it, buy the 21, it's better anyway, they cost the same around 20 something, there's no difference between 20 and 21 on the PS4, it's literally copy paste

I got it for 5 euros on discount, I casually got involved with my team and got hooked after years, maybe it's because of the lockdown.. Anyway, time passes pleasantly. :)

It no longer connects to the internet.. I don't know if it's the game's fault, but the other games connect normally.

Very good in all areas. I don't give it a 5 for 2 reasons: the handling is very complicated, unnecessarily, and without offering anything extra to the gaming experience, and secondly, the videos that play during pauses are annoying and cannot be removed from the settings.

It's not worth it at all. Mainly because, like the previous ones, it has been designed to make as much money as possible from players who have purchased it. 2k has heard about these issues and made them even worse. MyCAREER is the worst it has ever been, it doesn't even have a story, and the matches lose their meaning as you simply play them to level up your player. Since the Neighborhood was introduced, it has lost its realism and has become more "aggressive" towards the player. MyTEAM is simply a casino filled with lootboxes and microtransactions, so much so that even FUT seems player-friendly in comparison. The only good thing is the gameplay, but it doesn't say much. Avoid it and don't bother with NBA until they get serious.

The top basketball and super complete game with options that is currently available on PS4. Want basketball? This is the game you will get. Want something more fun and arcade-like to have fun with friends? You will get NBA 2K Playgrounds 2. That's it.

I found it on sale for €5 at the Playstation store (crazy) and regardless of the price, the game is amazing with a nice career mode and a nice myteam. The graphics are pretty good, to the point where I prefer NBA over FIFA.

The game, regardless of the price, is very good and noticeably improved in many aspects compared to previous ones. Especially in the players' movements and their body types, the work that has been done is exceptional. For example, you can do a crossover with Antetokounmpo and do the spider step just like in reality... and not only him, most players are almost real!!!

In my opinion, everything is good about the game but in the neighborhood, the gameplay is sometimes bad. Also, the last update they released, removing the behind the back move, was good because there are people who only did that move and it was also bad because you could easily break ankles with it

Compared to 2019, there are few changes, especially in the Defense and Dunking style....otherwise, the WNBA is fun, but it is a bit downgraded....just what you need with friends....pretty good basketball.

Anyone who has Nba2k19, I don't think they should buy Nba2k20. The game doesn't offer anything new, anything innovative. On the contrary, I have only found negatives. You can't play defense, the speed is too fast and when you slow it down, the players move in slow motion. Also, shots go in that shouldn't and easy opportunities are missed. It is generally unpredictable in a negative way. I believe it's better for those who have 19 to wait for Nba2k21.

Casino Simulator 2k20 with an embedded basketball game. It surely is or should be illegal, but we are definitely talking about a bad product where the company behind it used false advertising to sell it. I don't even know why it's not 18+ PEGI

The only thing that needs to be done is to play co-op multiplayer with your friend online from the same console.

This year, I had decided not to deal with the 2k series after many years. Something about the negative reviews, something about the lack of significant changes from last year, until I decided to rent it and see for myself what is true. The game is much better than last year, better and more realistic graphics, incredible animation, each player has their own style in the game, the sound is more improved, especially the reactions of the crowd and the sound from the net in basketball. I played about 10 games with different teams and started my league, I don't have an opinion on microtransactions because I never use them, the gameplay is a bit more challenging and the AI of the players is more balanced. It's worth it, especially at the price it is now and after the latest update. I was saying that PES 20 is the best sports game for this year, but still, 2k 20 is ahead, it has everything and yes, it is significantly improved from last year.

4 stars because it follows the same strategy in my career with the difficulty level (starts from medium and with a 66-67 overall you can't do much). The graphics remain very good, the sound is good. I don't have an opinion on my team because I don't play it. On the positive side, the waiting times have been reduced! The loading time to play a match, for example, was about a minute. It has been significantly reduced.

The optimizations and the general concept that the developers came up with for the card evolving of my team, I find it a fantastic idea (I'm the type who got it to play my team and minimal my park). As for the gameplay and other things that most people complain about, I find myself completely indifferent since it's the first NBA game I've bought and I don't think about what more they could add to the gameplay as it is. Yes, I have complaints about multiplayer and finally, I think a nice addition to the game would be the celebrations (like they were in 16)

Truly amazing, with awesome graphics and fantastic realistic movements, much better than the 19 and I believe it's worth buying.

I have played about 30 different types of games so far (multiplayer, single player, association, etc.). Simply disappointing and indifferent.

What happens with NBA2K is the definition of what happens when there is no competition. The game itself is okay, but there is no reason to spend such money on a roster update and some fake features. They should have made a digital update on 2K19 for around $20 and maybe that would have been worth it for someone who regularly plays. Personally, I will stick with 2K19, which I barely played this year.

Whatever great things may come, we will see them in the next generation, which seems to be coming soon.
