Except for the classic clippers with the flint which are flawless, some specific windproof ones are problematic.

    - They require quite a bit of pressure to produce a spark.
    - For heavy smokers, they need frequent refilling (they fill up to about half). There is a canister near the top that puts pressure on the flame (it draws double+ gas). Also, on the back square side, there is the spark mechanism, and both take up space compared to the classic flint ones.

    - At a local shop, I tried 5, 3 of them had a low flame and when I set the flame to the lowest, they wouldn't light or would light without the flame having pressure (maybe due to low gas from other tests). I took the 2 that lit up okay.

    - After 3 days of use, one stopped producing a spark. Fortunately, I had kept an old broken Chinese one that fit, I changed the system and put it aside for emergencies. This might be because the force needed to press it probably breaks the small internal crystal that gives the volts to the spark wire.

    - The 2nd one, after 2 days of frequent use, started to sometimes have a low flame, sometimes a stronger flame. This is probably because from where you adjust the flame, once you set it to high or low, it gets out of tune or maybe because it needs force to press the ignition, you have to hold the lighter tightly and at some point your finger might press the adjuster and do something to the valve. There, with a razor blade, I carefully cut the protrusion of the adjuster so it wouldn't stick out and press the internal valve (marked red in the photo) and it fixed it. Now, the flame only acts up a little every now and then or when the gas runs low.

    - POSITIVES: The plastic is good quality, feels nice, withstands high temperatures, doesn't scratch easily, nice choice of colors, many designs that don't fade easily, lightweight, refillable, and those that work properly are great...
    - From experience, generally all these simple windproof lighters, regardless of brand, with more than 2 months of frequent daily use (25 cigarettes), none lasted (including drops). Some lasted only 2-3 days... generally, they are for a few days of outdoor activities

I give it 3 stars because I bought 5 lighters and only 3 of them work, the other 2 are just for throwing away
