A girl who grew up in the inhumane and faceless orphanages of Welfare tries to understand what life, love, and hope mean.
Victoria only knows the language of flowers, and she must learn the language of people. Through poverty, hunger, misery, and fear, she slowly begins to open up to the world around her.
When she becomes a mother, she is torn in two: half of her adores her little girl and swears that she will not abandon her as her own mother did, and the other half cannot cope. She leaves the baby with its father, but from that moment on, she begins to suffer and change dramatically.
She decides to find the only woman who wanted to be her mother and to reconnect with her beloved. Can those who have not been loved learn to love? And can those who know the language of flowers communicate with people?
