Σε μαχαιρι που δεν εκοβε τιποτα το ακονισα πρωτα με την 400 και οταν βελτιωθηκε η κοψη συνεχισα με την 1000 μεχρι να βγαλει αιθερα.Μετα απο λιγα περασματα με ατσαλινι μασατι ξυριζε τις τριχες του χεριου.Πολυ καλη πετρα και δεν φαινεται να φθειρεται ευκολα.Οσο με αφορα δεν νομιζω οτι χρειαζεται πετρα μεγαλυτερου grit για ερασιτεχνικη χρηση.
The stone is very good as long as someone knows how to sharpen. Going from 400 to 1000 might tire someone out. It depends, of course, on how hard the blade is. The 400 grit takes a lot of material from the blade, and the 1000 grit, which is for finishing, might tire someone out until the blade becomes as sharp as desired. That's why personally I have an 800 grit stone for after the 400 grit, I go to 800 and end up at 1000. The stone, however, is worth its money. Frequent wetting during sharpening.
Η πέτρα είναι πολύ καλή αρκεί να γνωρίζει κάποιος να ακονίζει. Από το 400 στο 1000 ίσως κουράσει κάποιον. Ανάλογα βέβαια με το πόσο σκληρή είναι η λάμα. Το 400άρι παίρνει αρκετό υλικό από τη λάμα και το 1000άρι που είναι για φινίρισμα περισσότερο ίσως κουράσει κάποιον μέχρι να γίνει κοφτερή όσο θέλω η λάμα. Για αυτό προσωπικά έχω και μία 800άρα πέτρα για μετά την 400άρα, πάω σε 800 και καταλήγω στα 1000. Η πέτρα πάντως για τα χρήματά της αξίζει. Συχνό βρέξιμο κατά το ακόνισμα.
It is the 3rd stone I generally buy and I have been using it quite a lot for about 2 months now, almost daily use, and on good knives with high hardness. It is really good and it shows in the result, plus it really is the hardness it claims to be. For the money and the job it does, I recommend it blindly.
Είναι η 3 πέτρα που αγοράζω γενικά και αυτή την δουλεύω αρκετά εδώ και 2 μήνες περίπου σχεδόν καθημερινή χρήση και σε καλά μαχαίρια με μεγάλη σκληρότητα Πραγματικά είναι καλή και φαίνεται στο αποτέλεσμα συν οτι όντως είναι η σκληρότητα που λέει οτι είναι. Για τα λεφτά και τη δουλεία που κάνει τη προτείνω με κλειστά μάτια.
