Glenglassaugh Torfa is a peated Single Malt whisky from Scotland. It matures in first-fill American oak casks that previously held bourbon. The peat level is stated as 20 ppm. It has a natural colour and is bottled without chill filtration.
The nose combines smoke, stone fruit, roasted pineapple, dried apricot, ripe melon and a subtle sea breeze. The palate has an oily, full-bodied texture, with notes of sweet peat, toasted nuts, orange zest and vanilla. The finish is long, spicy and smoky, with hints of charred oak and pepper.
