The policies of the Ministry of "Church Affairs and Public Education" and the orientation of education during the second Otto period (1843/44-1862) contributed, to the extent that they are relevant, to shaping the components of the Otto governance.
The social and economic conditions, the legal framework, the interaction of institutional bodies in the implementation of educational matters, and the involvement of the individuals leading the services imposed specific decisions and actions in managing the situations, and for this reason, they constituted the thematic axis of the research inquiry.
The book seeks to approach and illuminate all those elements that ensured the functioning of the Ministry as well as the individual sectors where educational policies were applied.
It also exposes the institutional and non-institutional, collective and individual reactions that influenced the process and decision-making of Otto and the respective heads of the Ministry of "Church Affairs and Public Education."
