This is NOT a blacklight. It is a blue light, as in, it literally just emits a normal blue wavelength. It emits nothing in the ultraviolet range, which is what an actual blacklight would do. As a result it will provide none of the cool effects of actual blacklights.

I bought it yesterday, with some reservations, due to some reviews I read here.
Indeed, it's not great....it emits a slightly more unique blue-purple light, which however is definitely not blacklight.
Failed purchase, at least the amount I "wasted" is small.
I bought a Philips blacklight bulb e27 160 watt, it doesn't illuminate at all, it's for a different use other than lighting. Cost 20 euros. I bought a fluorescent blacklight uv 40 watt for 16 euros with good lighting, but due to its Chinese origin, the socket burned out, so it's gone too. I also bought a Beamz brand fluorescent uv blacklight at 25 watts for 10 euros, better than the Chinese one but with lower lighting, but still decent. Lastly, I said let's try this one for 3 euros, just for the sake of it. Result: it's brighter than all the others in terms of lighting, but NOT blacklight. It gives a false impression with a purple color, it's just okay for 3 euros, but not blacklight.
Very good case for someone who doesn't want to mess with LED strips or blacklight fluorescent lamps. It does its job perfectly fine.
very weak blacklight effect
πολύ αδύναμο εφέ blacklight
