The Haku vodka reflects Suntory's philosophy towards the art of crafting, an obsession with perfection, and a dedication to quality. Haku is made from 100% Japanese white rice.

It all starts in the Kagoshima region, where the Japanese rice undergoes fermentation and distillation in a traditional pot still to create the rice spirit. The liquid is then distilled a second time following two different processes, in a pot still and a column still (a towering distillation apparatus known as a column still), to produce a liquid with a unique flavor profile. The final stage is completed in Osaka, where blending takes place followed by filtration through bamboo charcoal.

The nose is dominated by floral aromas of rice, and on the palate, it is soft with a distinctive and pleasantly prolonged sweetness due to the bamboo charcoal filtration process.
