It helps a lot when the A/C dries out the air and it helps me sleep. However, it fills the house with dust (minerals), so it absolutely requires deionized water, which makes it difficult to use. It would be nice if it worked with tap water

For the few days I have it, it seems like a powerful tool.
The only negative is that it has a very short cable. How can you say in the manual "to operate at least 2 meters away from electrical appliances" when you have it 60 centimeters from the socket?!?!

Update: After 2 months of use, I confirm what others here say, that if you use it with tap water, you will see white rings on the dark surfaces of the house from the salts.
Also, the salts have already started to "eat" the inner plastic of the device in some places. I predict it won't last more than 3-4 summers if I continue to use it with tap water.

It helps a lot with breathing and nighttime cough, but unfortunately, it has a short cord for the outlet, and I had to keep it on the floor, resulting in the area around the humidifier getting filled with water from the "smoke" it produces.

To have 50% humidity, you need to adjust it to 70%.
I use an 18 btu air conditioner for heating in the living room.
I have a temperature of 21 degrees, without the humidifier 29% humidity.
With this specific device, I managed to bring it to 50% after 2 hours.
