The Vigor 2865 (Annex B) by Draytek is a mobile router, a device that wirelessly connects other devices (e.g., computer, mobile phone, television), providing internet access through the built-in modem that uses the mobile network with a SIM card. The SIM card requires an active connection with a data package.
It connects to the 4G network, offering significantly higher speeds than 3G, provided there is corresponding coverage. It supports VDSL2, offering higher download and upload speeds compared to ADSL2+, often up to 50Mbps and 5Mbps, supporting triple play services (television, telephony, internet).
It is compatible with Wi-Fi 5, the most widespread standard, with the ability to connect multiple devices. It supports VPN (Virtual Private Network) setup, allowing anonymity and access to geographically restricted content. The NAT firewall hides the addresses of all devices behind a unique address, enhancing network security.
Through MAC address filtering, it allows specific connections based on the unique MAC address, blocking unacceptable devices.
