I have been using this mobile phone since September '20, when it replaced my Redmi Note 4 that couldn't handle a summer dive. So far, especially for the money I paid, I am completely satisfied. 4 stars, because there was no option for 4.5. The absence of Google Services is both a blessing and a curse. On one hand, it is responsible for the low price that makes it a great value for money, on the other hand, it makes life a bit more difficult for those who are used to classic Android.
The main uses I have for it are calls, browsing, Viber, camera, less video, and nothing serious in terms of games. It works very smoothly, I don't remember it ever freezing.
Positives:
+ The dual SIM card function is very user-friendly, allowing you to choose which SIM card to use for outgoing calls, internet connection, and sending SMS.
+ The ability to take photos in PRO mode, where you can adjust all the settings yourself. I believe this is the only way to achieve good photos in darker lighting conditions (I generally dislike the result of AI in photos).
+ It is quite beautiful, with a premium device feel.
+ The absence of Google Services. You discover alternative proposals and applications that cover the same needs. You don't give all your data to Google (you give it to Huawei instead :P).
Negatives:
- Oh yes, the absence of Google Services. It's funny because you realize how dependent we are on a company and as a result, how a device with very good features lacks capabilities that other devices with worse features have. Many applications have been built not just for Android, but on top of Google services. So, even if you find them elsewhere, they are not functional. For example, no ability to connect to Chromecast (how will I watch Netflix on TV???), OASAtelematics cannot show the map, winbank doesn't open, Cinobo works but constantly throws a message that Google services are required, even the "PesVres" or even "Stoiximan" apps that don't even exist in the Play Store cannot run! Obviously, if individual companies find it beneficial and start updating their applications to be accessible to Huawei services users, the problem will be resolved immediately.
- I dare to say that the battery is borderline satisfactory. It lasts a day with full usage, as long as the Redmi Note 4 lasted in its third year of use.
- Absence of notification LED and infrared. It's a subtle drawback, but it's these little details that can make a difference.
Χρησιμοποιώ το κινητό από το Σεπτέμβρη του '20, όταν και αντικατέστησε με βαριά καρδιά το Redmi Note 4 που δεν άντεξε για πολύ μετά από καλοκαιρινή βουτιά. Ως τώρα, ειδικά για τα λεφτά που έδωσα, είμαι απόλυτα ικανοποιημένος. 4 αστεράκια, γιατί δεν είχε επιλογή 4.5 . Η μη ύπαρξη Google Services ευχή και κατάρα. Από τη μια ευθύνεται για την τόσο χαμηλή τιμή που το κάνει πέρα για πέρα VFM, από την άλλη θα κάνει τη ζωή λίγο πιο δύσκολη σε όσες και όσους έχουν συνηθίσει σε κλασικά Android.
Η χρήση που του κάνω κυρίως είναι κλήσεις, browsing, viber, κάμερα, λιγότερο βίντεο και τίποτα σοβαρό από παιχνίδια. Λειτουργεί πολύ ομαλά, δε θυμάμαι να κολλάει ποτέ πουθενά.
Στα θετικά:
+Πολύ εύχρηστη η λειτουργία των 2 καρτών sim, όπου μπορείς να προεπιλέξεις από ποια κάρτα γίνονται εξερχόμενες κλήσεις, από ποια η σύνδεση στο διαδίκτυο κι από ποια στέλνονται sms.
+Δυνατότητα λήψης φωτογραφιών σε PRO mode όπου τα ρυθμίζεις όλα εσύ. Θεωρώ πως είναι και ο μοναδικός τρόπος να πετύχεις καλή φωτογραφία σε πιο σκοτεινές συνθήκες φωτισμού (μισώ το αποτέλεσμα του ΑΙ γενικά στις φωτογραφίες)
+Αρκετά όμορφο, να τα λέμε κι αυτά, με μια αίσθηση premium συσκευής.
+Η απουσία Google Services. Ανακαλύπτεις εναλλακτικές προτάσεις και εφαρμογές που καλύπτουν ίδιες ανάγκες. Δεν δίνεις όλα τα δεδομένα σου στη Γκούγκλ (τα δίνεις στην Ουαγουέι :P )
Στα αρνητικά:
-Ω ναι, η απουσία Google Services. Έχει πλάκα, γιατί καταλαβαίνεις πόσο εξαρτημένοι είμαστε από μια εταιρία και συνέπεια αυτού, πώς μια συσκευή με πολύ καλά χαρακτηριστικά στερείται δυνατοτήτων που έχουν άλλες με χειρότερα. Πολλές εφαρμογές έχουν στηθεί όχι απλά για android, αλλά πάνω στις υπηρεσίες Google. Οπότε παρ' ότι τις βρίσκεις από αλλού δεν είναι λειτουργικές. Π.χ. καμία δυνατότητα σύνδεσης με Chromecast (πώς θα βλέπω netflix στην tv;;;), OASAtelematics δεν μπορείς να δεις το χάρτη, winbank δεν ανοίγει, Cinobo λειτουργεί αλλά πετάει συνέχεια μήνυμα ότι απαιτούνται οι υπηρεσίες Google, μέχρι και τo ΠεςΒρες ή ακόμα ακόμα το Stoiximan που δεν υπάρχει καν στο playstore δεν μπορεί να τρέξει! Προφανώς αν βρουν συμφέρον οι επι μέρους εταιρίες και αρχίσουν να ανανεώνουν τις εφαρμογές τους ώστε να είναι προσβάσιμες σε χρήστες huawei services, το πρόβλημα αποσβένει αμέσως.
-Θα τολμήσω να πω ότι η μπαταρία είναι οριακά ικανοποιητική. Βγάζει μια μέρα σε φουλ χρήση, όσο άντεχε και το Redmi Note 4 τον τρίτο χρόνο χρήσης.
-Απουσία notification led και υπερύθρων. Ανεπαίσθητο το κακό, αλλά είναι αυτές οι μικρές λεπτομέρειες που μπορεί να κάνουν τη διαφορά.
