    The child needs to know the alphabet to use it. The pieces fit together even if they are not in the correct order. If the child cannot see the alphabet, they cannot do it. I would say it is better for ages 4+ with adult assistance. The letters that come out of each puzzle piece need a bit of care because a couple of them tore for us. Nice game, but I recommend it for a slightly older age.
