I've had it for a few days. It's a proper grinder with ceramic plates that grind and not fake blades. The espresso machine (Delonghi 685) has just arrived now. Previously, I had the Gruppe CM 4677, which anyone who has it or has seen the reviews knows that it produces an excessively strong and fast flow, resulting in the required amount being extracted in 6-7 seconds, which is disastrous. With the grinder, you can adjust the grind size that the coffee maker and each coffee require, and generally experiment until you find the right one.
As for the grinder... Japanese construction, which means a lot in terms of quality. From the box, you can tell that it is a serious build. What concerned me was whether it could grind fine enough for espresso. In the end, I don't even set it to the first settings because the water doesn't pass through. Even the Gruppe needs several settings to extract. At the finer grind settings, not a drop comes out. With the Delonghi, I go up to 4-7 settings; otherwise, it can't brew the coffee, depending on the variety of course, and I also have a bottomless portafilter. Its grind is perfectly uniform.
In conclusion, sturdy construction, there is a video on YouTube to see its operation, and you can grind from espresso (I will also try it for Greek coffee because it makes it almost powder) to French press without any problem.
The only negative, let's say, is that there isn't a specific scale to ensure that you grind to the same size every time. You just unscrew it, and the more you unscrew, the coarser the grind becomes. However, each turn makes a characteristic "click" sound, so you know what setting you're on. Also, if you find the setting that works for your coffee, you don't change it.
I will return after a while when I have a better picture.
Tip: when I get bored of grinding, I use an electric screwdriver without any problem. I've been doing it for 2 months now, and it hasn't suffered the slightest damage. Don't do it at an excessively fast speed because it "burns" the coffee.
- Also, the size is very convenient as it fits perfectly inside the portafilter (I believe intentionally and not by chance) without any losses or needing the related 'funnel.'
Update 10 months later: everything is perfect, the grinder is of amazing quality and hasn't suffered anything. I never tried to grind Greek coffee, but I don't think it's a good idea.
Update about 2.5 - 3 years later: It hasn't suffered anything. It's like new. (I make 2 coffees every day.)

Αυτό που με απασχολούσε είναι αν μπορεί να κόψει αρκετά ψιλά για εσπρέσσο. Τελικά δεν το βάζω καν στις πρώτες σκάλες γιατι δεν περνάει το νερό. Ακόμα Και η gruppe θέλει αρκετές σκάλες για να βγαίνει. Στα πιο ψιλά κοψίματα δεν βγαίνει ούτε σταγόνα. Στη Delonghi ανέβαίνω 4-7 σκάλες αλλιώς δεν μπορεί να βγάλει τον καφέ, ανάλογα την ποικιλία βέβαια και έχω και bottomless portafilter. Το κόψιμο του είναι απόλυτα ομοιόμορφο.
Εν κατακλείδι, στιβαρή κατασκευή, υπάρχει βίντεο στο youtube να δείτε την λειτουργία, και μπορείτε να κόψετε από εσπρέσσο (θα δοκιμάσω και για ελληνικό γιατι το κάνει σχεδόν πούδρα) μέχρι γαλλικο χωρίς πρόβλημα.
Το μόνο ας πούμε αρνητικό είναι ότι δεν υπάρχει ιδιαίτερη κλίμακα να προσδιορίσεις σίγουρα ότι αλέθεις κάθε φόρα στο ίδιο μέγεθος. Απλά ξεβιδώνεις και όσο περισσότερο ξεβιδώνει τόσο πιο χοντρό γίνεται το άλεσμα. Κάνει πάντως κάθε γύρισμα χαρακτηριστικό ήχο "κλακ" οποτε ξέρεις σε ποια κλίμακα είσαι. Επίσης αν βρεις για τον καφέ σου την σκάλα που σου κάνει, δεν την αλλάζεις..
Θα επανέλθω μετά από λίγο καιρό που θα έχω καλύτερη εικόνα.
Tip: όταν βαριέμαι να αλέθω το γυρίζω με ηλεκτρικό κατσαβίδι χωρίς κανένα πρόβλημα. Το κάνω 2 μήνες τώρα και δεν έχει πάθει το παραμικρό. Μην το κάνετε σε υπερβολικά γρήγορη ταχύτητα γιατί «καιει» τον καφέ .
- επίσης πολύ βολικό το μέγεθος του καθώς εφαρμόζει τέλεια μέσα στο portafilter (πιστεύω εσκεμμένα και όχι από τύχη) χωρίς να έχεις απώλειες ή να χρειάζεσαι το σχετικό ‘χωνάκι’

However, each turn makes a characteristic "click" sound, so you know what setting you're on. Also, if you find the setting that works for your coffee, you don't change it.

Tip: when I get bored of grinding, I use an electric screwdriver without any problem. I've been doing it for 2 months now, and it hasn't suffered the slightest damage. Don't do it at an excessively fast speed because it "burns" the coffee.
- Also, the size is very convenient as it fits perfectly inside the portafilter (I believe intentionally and not by chance) without any losses or needing the related 'funnel.'
Update 10 months later: everything is perfect, the grinder is of amazing quality and hasn't suffered anything. I never tried to grind Greek coffee, but I don't think it's a good idea.
Update about 2.5 - 3 years later: It hasn't suffered anything. It's like new. (I make 2 coffees every day.)
Μερικές μέρες τον έχω. Είναι μύλος κανονικός με κεραμικές πλάκες οι οποίες αλέθουν και όχι ψευτομαχαιρια. Ηρθε τώρα και η εσπρεσσιέρα (delonghi 685). Πριν είχα την Gruppe CM 4677 την οποία όποιος την έχει ή έχει δει τα σχόλια ξέρει ότι κάνει υπρβολικα δυνατή και γρήγορη ροή με αποτέλεσμα σε 6-7 δευτερόλεπα να έχει βγεί η ποσότητα που απαιτείται κατί το οποία ειναι καταστροφικό. Με τον μύλο κανεις το ανάλογο κόψιμο που θέλει η καφετιέρα και ο κάθε καφές και γενικά πειραματίζεσαι μέχρι να καταλήξεις.
Για τον μύλο.. Ιαπωνική κατασκευή με ότι σημαίνει αυτό ως προς την ποιότητα. Από το κουτί καταλαβαίνεις ότι πρόκειται για σοβαρή κατασκευή. Αυτό που με απασχολούσε είναι αν μπορεί να κόψει αρκετά ψιλά για εσπρέσσο. Τελικά δεν το βάζω καν στις πρώτες σκάλες γιατι δεν περνάει το νερό. Ακόμα Και η gruppe θέλει αρκετές σκάλες για να βγαίνει. Στα πιο ψιλά κοψίματα δεν βγαίνει ούτε σταγόνα. Στη Delonghi ανέβαίνω 4-7 σκάλες αλλιώς δεν μπορεί να βγάλει τον καφέ, ανάλογα την ποικιλία βέβαια και έχω και bottomless portafilter. Το κόψιμο του είναι απόλυτα ομοιόμορφο.
Εν κατακλείδι, στιβαρή κατασκευή, υπάρχει βίντεο στο youtube να δείτε την λειτουργία, και μπορείτε να κόψετε από εσπρέσσο (θα δοκιμάσω και για ελληνικό γιατι το κάνει σχεδόν πούδρα) μέχρι γαλλικο χωρίς πρόβλημα.
Το μόνο ας πούμε αρνητικό είναι ότι δεν υπάρχει ιδιαίτερη κλίμακα να προσδιορίσεις σίγουρα ότι αλέθεις κάθε φόρα στο ίδιο μέγεθος. Απλά ξεβιδώνεις και όσο περισσότερο ξεβιδώνει τόσο πιο χοντρό γίνεται το άλεσμα. Κάνει πάντως κάθε γύρισμα χαρακτηριστικό ήχο "κλακ" οποτε ξέρεις σε ποια κλίμακα είσαι. Επίσης αν βρεις για τον καφέ σου την σκάλα που σου κάνει, δεν την αλλάζεις..
Θα επανέλθω μετά από λίγο καιρό που θα έχω καλύτερη εικόνα.
Tip: όταν βαριέμαι να αλέθω το γυρίζω με ηλεκτρικό κατσαβίδι χωρίς κανένα πρόβλημα. Το κάνω 2 μήνες τώρα και δεν έχει πάθει το παραμικρό. Μην το κάνετε σε υπερβολικά γρήγορη ταχύτητα γιατί «καιει» τον καφέ .
- επίσης πολύ βολικό το μέγεθος του καθώς εφαρμόζει τέλεια μέσα στο portafilter (πιστεύω εσκεμμένα και όχι από τύχη) χωρίς να έχεις απώλειες ή να χρειάζεσαι το σχετικό ‘χωνάκι’
Update 10 μηνες μετα: ολα τελεια, ο μύλος ειναι τρομερής ποιότητας και δεν εχει παθει τιποτα. Ελληνικο δεν δοκίμασα ποτε να αλέσω αλλα δεν νομιζω οτι ειναι καλη ιδεα.
update περιπου 2,5 - 3 χρονια μετα : Δεν εχει παθει τιποτα. Ειναι σαν καινουριος. (Κανω καθε μερα 2 καφεδες)
