Description

Experience the ultimate Islay adventure with a whisky created to celebrate 200 years of history and absolute mastery of smoke. The Lagavulin 8 Year Old is an "explosion" of peat and brine, an anniversary edition that honors the past by offering an unexpectedly vibrant and intense flavor that will excite you.

Why Lagavulin 8 Will Become Your New Favorite:

  • You enjoy the "raw" power of peat in a version that is fresher and spicier than the classic 16-year-old, offering a unique intensity that only a Lagavulin can give you.
  • You feel the sea in your glass, as iodine and salty notes blend with aromatic smoke, mentally transporting you to the rugged coasts of Scotland.
  • You taste the perfect balance between sweetness and smokiness, with dark chocolate and fresh mint "breaking" the smoke and giving an unexpectedly refreshing character.
  • You impress every Single Malt lover by offering a milestone bottle, released for the distillery's 200th anniversary and now an essential piece of every serious collection.

Your Flavorful Journey:

  • Nose: Fresh notes of lemon and milk chocolate that quickly give way to intense tea smoke and a sea breeze.
  • Palate: Warm, sweet, and spicy. The smoke dominates, but is accompanied by notes of mint, dark chocolate, and ripe caramel.
  • Finish: Long, clean, and characteristically smoky, leaving a sweet smoky sensation on the breath that lingers for a long time.

  • For lovers of heavy smoke. Personally, I prefer it even over the 16-year-old, perhaps the best of the Islays in its price range

    No comparison to the 16-year-old.
The 16-year-old is 43% vol while the 8-year-old is 48% vol, leaving a strong burn in the throat and a feeling of increased alcohol, resulting in it covering the already neutral aromas compared to the 16-year-old.
Overrated for its price, as at €40 it might have been a fair choice.
It has no place in my collection.

Amazing whiskey, incredible nose, unbelievable taste! A whiskey that takes you on a journey! The next one will be the same in 16 years. It's worth every penny 100%!

As a fan of Lagavulin 16, I bought the 8-year-old for the first time through Skroutz, which completely disappointed me. It has nothing to do with the 16-year-old that I knew; as soon as it goes down the throat, it leaves an annoying burn and does not in any way match the quality of the other Lagavulin. Personally, I believe that its existence exposes the company..!!!

A whiskey worthy of its expectations. Strong aroma, powerful taste, nice aftertaste. For me, the definition of smoky. Its price is steep, but the result justifies it.

Although I am a fan of Lagavulin, the 8-year-old is terrible. Its high price is only due to the label.
The company has somewhat gone crazy with the preservation of its products in the last 2 years. I believe it will not work out for them
