It can also be applied to sturdy cardboard to make use of its insect-repellent properties.

Bay is said to have tonic, aphrodisiac, antimicrobial and expectorant properties, and to help relieve cold symptoms and muscular, arthritic and rheumatic pain. It is also associated with increased local blood circulation, scalp care and improved concentration. Do not use undiluted. For external and aromatic use only.
