BIO Demerara Sugar 500gr

Light golden-brown sugar from Mauritius made from sugarcane juice. The juice is heated to evaporate the water and crystallize. Impurities are removed through centrifugation and the sugar is dried.

Its name comes from the Demerara colony in Guyana, where it was originally produced.

It is not suitable for cakes, but it is used to sweeten:

• breakfast cereals
• grapefruit
• tea or coffee
