I got this specific monitor with fear because I was reading various things about how it came with burnt pixels, that it generally had problems, and because it is a bit expensive, I even had nightmares before receiving it that it would arrive broken (yes, I'm not joking). Fortunately, there was no such issue. I have been a owner for 5-6 months now. I can't express how excited I still am even after this time when it's time to turn on the PC. It is definitely the most beautiful monitor I have ever seen. It is incredible for gaming (with a few exceptions like Valorant), you get lost in the screen. It's something that if you don't see up close, no matter what I write, you won't understand it (like VR). If you like what you see and have a powerful PC, it is the best choice for now at least in super ultrawide. Personally, it has given me unforgettable gaming moments because of how immersive it is during gameplay. When you focus on the game, it covers the largest part of your vision, resulting in you being sucked into the "world" you are in (depending on the game, of course). Most games are supported, even indie developers optimize for this resolution. As a gamer with a lot of love for gaming (for about 14 years now), I haven't felt this much joy since I played super Mario games on the DS, haha. And of course, it's great for multitasking and for work that requires screen space

I have had this specific monitor for a year now, it helped me with my thesis as I could have up to 7 files open simultaneously. It is wonderful and even after a year, I look at it and think "my goodness, what did I get?".

The way I can rotate it right and left, as well as change its height and angle towards my face, is exciting as I can adjust it to how I feel most comfortable for my eyes.

The RGB on the back is a nice touch, although it is not something you will easily see, let alone pay attention to, considering the shape and size of the screen. Also, at the base of the screen, there is a piece that "unfolds" and you can hang your headphones on it. It is not easy to reach while sitting, but it doesn't matter at all since the purpose of the so-called hanger is for when you finish your work or gaming.

Although almost no website is customized for ultrawide, it doesn't bother me at all as it gives you the possibility, due to its size, to never need fullscreen.

During gaming or video-photo editing or any work, it offers a perfect environment as in fullscreen mode, you have more tools and space than you need, making your work even easier. In your games, it gives a very nice feeling, especially in the racing games I play, I can easily operate the cockpit camera and it often comes in handy.

It is incredible and offers an incredible environment, from aesthetics to visuals, it is amazing in my opinion, and for those who complain about the cracking sounds due to material expansion and contraction, I have one thing to say, put on some music, a crack is not a problem for the capabilities it offers. I highly recommend it for anyone who wants it for productivity, gaming, but also for its beauty.

In the menu of the screen, you can change the RGB lighting on the back LED, it doesn't make a difference but for those who want to know, you can!

Purchased Black Friday 2021, it was on offer then at around 1000 euros, normally it was close to 1300+. When it reaches 1000€ or less, buy it with your eyes closed (I've seen it drop in the following years to even below 900 euros). It is connected to a Threadripper 3960x computer, with an Asus TUF Gaming 3070 OC.

---- Updates, firmware, etc.:
To start, let me say that those who buy it towards the end of 2021 and later will not have the problems everyone mentions about the first models. The 240Hz was not initially visible in Windows BUT you don't need to update from the USB as the site says, they've already done it, you just need to enter the monitor's menu with the button and enable it from there, and then Windows will recognize it. Also, the menu - system - VRR (variable refresh rate) is already enabled so all games run smoothly.
I see no flickering or anything. And all this after testing it in some games and watching videos in 32:9.

----- HDR:
If you go into the settings with the button and enable HDR, you'll just see a different picture, double the brightness, and maybe it's only for videos and games. If you have a white screen in any browser, you might get blinded, so Dark Mode everywhere from now on.
Experiment with the settings, it doesn't hurt, a lot of people connect it to a computer and think they'll automatically get the experience they were promised.

----- Size:
The 49 inches may seem a lot, especially because it's double ultra wide, but you get used to it in a few days.

----- Aspect Ratio:
I think the aspect ratio is a bit excessive for most cases, 21:9 is generally better in terms of visual range, but I won't complain about this visual beast. Many have said it would be better if it was 5120x2160 with 21:9 but of course, true 5K, 240 Hz, and close to 1000 euros is asking a lot.

----- 240Hz
My previous monitor was 75Hz, and now at 240Hz even the mouse moves as if it's real, so smoothly that you think you have a piece of paper moving on the screen. I couldn't find a 240fps video to test it but I believe after 120Hz you don't see much difference. Higher fps in games, however, helps their interactivity; the more fps, the better they react to what's happening as calculations are done for every frame, so the game is 'analyzed' more (for those who understand anyway). What I want to say is that visually we won't notice a difference above 120Hz, but in games, we want to have as high as possible.

----- Clarity
The pixel density is quite good, you have to get very close to start seeing them, and with this monitor, you should theoretically be 75 centimeters to 1 meter away to have it in your field of view.

This is NOT an entry-level monitor, it's for hardcore users.
Don't put it on a computer that cost 500 euros, it's not worth it. My computer without the monitor cost about 5000€, excessive yes, but it needs a good graphics card and a good processor to run applications smoothly.

Some notes:
----- With an old graphics card, you'll have problems, if you have a 2080 you might be fine, but with the NVidia 3000/4000 series you won't have any problems at all. Obviously, if you max out the graphics you won't get 240Hz unless you have something like Dual NVlink 3090 or one from the 4000 series. As I mentioned before, I have an Asus TUF Gaming 3080 OC and I have not encountered any problems. I have also connected it to a computer with an Asus Tuf Gaming 3070 and it is just as efficient. On another computer with an RX480/8GB it also runs but only up to 120Hz.

----- The fact that 32:9 is not supported by consoles has nothing to do with the monitor, it has to do with the consoles themselves which are simply gaming machines. It will play the games but you will see black bars on the right and left. For consoles, just get a 55" 4K TV for 300 euros and enjoy!

----- The fact that not all games (on PC) support 32:9 also has nothing to do with the monitor but with the games that do not have adaptive resolution.

----- If you do not want 5120x1440 then the only other option you have is 3840x1080 to still have 32:9. The other resolutions are not 32:9 (on Windows 10) so they either distort the image or put bars on the right and left.

----- The options for Hz are 60, 120, and 240. However, there is no reason to set anything other than 240Hz because that is essentially the maximum allowed, meaning in any case the refresh rate is also adaptive so if your card can't handle it, it simply won't run at 240Hz, same for the games. It doesn't mean that just because you selected 240Hz you are forcing the card and all applications to run at 240Hz no matter what. Even Windows uses Sync for the frequency and runs it where it can handle it.

----- When opening several windows it is ergonomic as expected. There is also a special option to grip the windows to parts of the screen automatically but I don't use it, I prefer to size them myself and place them wherever I want.

----- You can use it with 2 computers, on one side showing one computer and on the other the other, as if they are two different monitors. BUT to make it work with one keyboard and one mouse, that depends on the computers and not the monitor, you need a device that connects the peripherals of two computers into one, unrelated to the monitor, I mention this because someone I know asked me if it is like when you have two monitors on one computer and the mouse goes from one screen to the other, this is the opposite and the input is done by each PC separately.

I use it for programming and I need to have many open windows. It is known that it is number 1 for gaming, but I was more interested in production, having a lot of space, and the text being readable. Incredible experience. It had no problems from what was written a year ago. Its curvature not only does not bother, but also helps to keep the colors stable since it is a VA Panel and it needs less head movement. Colors are very good and the screen size is not supernatural (of course, I come from a 34" screen so I was used to it). For my work, it would be even better if it had 1600 pixels on the vertical axis, but 1440 is more than enough. In short, if there is the financial ability, it is absolutely worth its money. The absence of the bezel in the middle (when you put two 27" screens) gives you great flexibility in managing windows. I was also considering the DELL 5K2K 40", but besides being significantly more expensive, the 60 Hz bothered me, as well as the fact that in these dimensions you don't get more space than the G9, but mainly better text quality since to see a letter you need at least 125% scaling, while with the G9 you can comfortably work with 100%. I'm picky about these things, but with the G9, I couldn't find even something small to complain about.

Impressive piece... I have never seen a stunning image like this before with some changes in the settings suggested by a knowledgeable friend. The first day, my eyes literally hurt until I got used to it... it's really good for gaming, accompanied by an Aorus GTX1080ti, which is a bit insufficient for this specific monitor. In movies, it is unfortunately constrained by the black bars on the right and left due to its 32:9 aspect ratio, losing something here and gaining something there. It is an expensive monitor, but it is years ahead of its little sibling, the G7, which is also a good option for those who want to spend less money but are not satisfied with the 32:9 aspect ratio.

One week later, it's a nice monitor, but anyone considering buying it should be careful because there are issues with flickering, with a vertical line appearing in the middle of the screen... a problem that I have also encountered and unfortunately, I have been dealing with phone calls and emails... I believe I will figure it out, but it's a great disappointment for such an expensive monitor... Samsung messed up with the G7 and G9 models.

I really have no words for this technological marvel. It has an amazing picture, especially in games that fully support the technologies that this monitor offers. I mean, when a game can run in 32:9 and has HDR support, the gaming experience truly exceeds all expectations! Of course, I should mention that the screen has settings for games that don't fully support its resolution, so you can play as if you had a screen with a lower resolution, with black bars on the sides. The screen supports simultaneous display of 2 devices, for example, if I connect my PS4 (HDMI) and my PC (Display-Port), I can have the PS4 on one side and the PC image on the other side. If you have a very powerful system (RTX 2080 Ti SLI or 3080-3090), then you understand what you have in front of you, because the screen can reach 240hz at a resolution of 5120×1440, and all this with 1ms + G-Sync or FreeSync depending on your graphics card. For now, I have a GTX 1080 Ti, and I play most games with compromises (usually High settings instead of Ultra) at 60-90 fps depending on the game, but I will definitely upgrade to the new generation of Nvidia soon. Where I was truly amazed was with the games DOOM Eternal & Battlefield 1. The colors are amazing, and there is plenty of environment to do whatever you want. Of course, this is not a monitor for the average user or someone who is not crazy about gaming. Finally, if you are thinking of getting a good monitor and keeping it for years, with the appropriate hardware, the Samsung Odyssey G9 is what you need!

I purchased the RTX 3080 Master Aorus, and in order for the monitor to work properly with the 3080, you need to update the monitor to at least version 1008.1, which is the latest one available at the time of writing this. It fixes the issue that existed at 240hz with the card. It also adds the VRR option, which can be found in the following path: "menu->system->VRR". It's all the way at the bottom because the menu is a list, and it needs to be set to On for all games to play smoothly at 240hz with the RTX 3080. If it's off, some games may constantly minimize. I experienced this with Battlefield V, and it was fixed by following the method I mentioned. Finally, the monitor needs such a powerful card to show its true capabilities and what you have actually purchased, even though the newest games put a strain on the card at such a resolution when you have all the settings on ultra with RTX ON. For example, in Watchdogs Legion, with everything on ultra without DLSS, the game drops to 15FPS in open areas, but with a few compromises, you can play at 55-60fps.
