    We got it when our little one was 2 years old. It is super lightweight, made of aluminum with plastic wheels and solid tires (they don't deflate), and for 1.5 years of almost daily use, it didn't suffer the slightest damage. Our little one loved it.
    It doesn't have brakes or wide tires. It focuses solely on balance and braking with the feet.
    On the plus side, the saddle is quite narrow and helps with pushing off.
    The only negative is that it slips on tiles.
    As soon as we upgraded, just before turning four, to a 12'' regular bike without training wheels, he learned with the first push.
