It is a bit clumsy at its tip. I prefer (as it has been proven) erasers that have the shape of a regular pencil tip and do the exact same fine work. (Irrelevant, but they brought it to me slightly used from the store. Obviously, it was the last one they had in stock).

I use it for sketches. You can "erase" it however you want and give it the shape you desire. As a final erasing after a simple eraser and kneaded eraser, it does its job. It doesn't give good results for details.
