They need counterweights!! Risk of tipping forward (requires additional stabilization) difficult assembly - tools are required. Once all this is done, the basketball hoop is perfect

The basketball shown in the picture is very very good, but the instructions have been written by camels, the material construction was undertaken by slowpokes, and furthermore, it is extremely difficult to assemble it for someone who doesn't have a workshop since it requires new screws.

I think my review concerns all Amila basketball hoops regarding the quality of the materials and the instructions.

I bought it yesterday at noon and we set it up yesterday afternoon. The hoop is very stable. Almost like the ones we see at schools. I would buy it again and I have no regrets.

The instructions are terrible. I knew this because many mention it in other reviews! We are handy and have all the tools, but in some places, you have to improvise. For example, there are some spacers for screws A and C (approximately, as I don't have the instructions with me) of different lengths, and where it says to put the A, they don't fit at all, and in the other position, the C will be loose. So there is a wrong matching. A screw cap was also missing.

I suggest before you start, take out the screws and match them with the letter written in the manual because the instructions are already terrible, and you will have a harder time.

The next issue is that in terms of quality (the metals, the paint, and the screws), they are very cheap. Two nuts got stripped before I even tightened them (they started screwing in correctly without resistance) and I replaced them with my own. Some screws were already rusty even though they were in sealed bags. The metal parts had already started to rust (in a few spots externally and in many internally), and the paint is very fragile. Not a big deal because I will touch them up locally with some matte spray. I also added threadlocker glue to many screws to avoid rust and prevent them from loosening due to vibrations (even though they had lock nuts, but with poor quality plastic "brake").

The price I got it for was 625.

    UPDATE 27/03/2026
The hoop, apart from a few superficial rust spots, is like new. As I said back then, it is a beast of stability. My neighbor's other model fell over, but mine doesn't move at all even with strong winds. I have filled the container with paving stones and it doesn't lift at all unless I decide to remove it. I would have to remove paving stones to be able to take out the container. Logically, I could hang (90 kg) from the rim and it wouldn't move at all. I recommend it 100%

Good basketball hoop, sturdy construction, but its assembly is extremely difficult, not because it is complex, but because the instructions are inadequate and the images in the instructions do not correspond to reality. Also, it would be good for the manufacturers to provide stainless steel screws instead of galvanized ones, even if they charge a little extra, and they could have caps for the unused metal holes to prevent oxidation.
