Very good extender at a good price and from a reliable and good company. I've only had it for 1 month so I can't have an opinion on durability, but I haven't had any disconnections so far. I also own the RE305 AC 1200, I can't say that I see any significant differences in speed, for what I need it covers me. The other one went to the village where I need it for more difficult conditions where external antennas help more.

Easy to set up but many times even though it gives you a signal, it doesn't provide internet, meaning that the router has a signal and you connect normally. It needs a reboot to give internet again. I don't know if this happened only with mine and I didn't change it because I got it for the vacation home and now I'm on holiday elsewhere

I bought it last year at a discounted price of around 25 euros, to boost the 5G signal in my house, and it does its job perfectly. The model I have is the R220 v3.
The connection was very easy, following the simple and understandable instructions inside the box: I plugged it into a socket next to my router (the ZTE ZXHN H288A from Nova), pressed the WPS button on the router, then the WPS button on the TP-Link... and that was it! In a minute, the extender connected to the router and worked flawlessly, providing me with full signal and the same speeds as the ZTE. You simply plug it into a socket next to your computer and connect to the new 5G and 2.4G networks created by TP-Link, which have the same names as the corresponding wireless networks of your router, with the suffix EXT, and passwords identical to those of your router. The settings are saved permanently and you don't need to set it up again. The instructions also mention other setup methods through a web browser and tether app (I don't even know what that is!), but I didn't use them as there was no need. Ideally, especially for the 5G frequency, there should be a "line of sight" between the router and the extender, but I had very good results even when the connection status light was red. The device heats up as long as it is plugged into the power, which is perfectly normal, but it never overheats, nor does its operation seem to be affected by the temperature. However, I should note that when I don't need it, I unplug it from the socket.
One day, after several months, the TP-Link suddenly stopped "catching" the 5G frequency, which was immediately fixed with a simple reset of the device (by inserting a needle into the small hole at the bottom) and repeating the connection process. That was the only "issue" I encountered in a year.
Overall, not only am I completely satisfied with this extender, but I didn't even expect to have such good results with such an inexpensive device. I don't question the negative reviews of other users, but I wonder if they had a different model than the R220 (the version is indicated at the bottom right on the box) or if there was a compatibility issue with their router (although the box states that it works with all routers).

Η σύνδεση ήταν πανεύκολη, ακολουθώντας τις απλές και κατανοητές οδηγίες μέσα στο κουτί: To έβαλα σε μια πρίζα δίπλα στο router μου (το ΖΤΕ ZXHN H288A της Nova), πάτησα το κουμπί WPS του router, μετά το κουμπί WPS του ΤP-Link.... και αυτό ήταν όλο! Σ' ένα λεπτό τo extender συνδέθηκε με το router και λειτουργούσε άψογα, παρέχοντάς μου full σήμα και ταχύτητες ίδιες με αυτές του ZTE. Απλά το βάζετε σε μια πρίζα δίπλα στον υπολογιστή σας και συνδέεστε στα νέα δίκτυα 5G και 2.4G που δημιουργεί το ΤP-Link, τα οποία έχουν ίδια ονόματα με τα αντίστοιχα ασύρματα δίκτυα του router και κατάληξη ΕΧΤ, και passwords ίδια με αυτά του router σας. Οι ρυθμίσεις αποθηκεύονται μόνιμα και δεν χρειάζεται να το σετάρετε ξανά. Στις οδηγίες αναφέρονται και άλλες μέθοδοι setup μέσω web browser και tether app (ούτε καν ξέρω τι είναι αυτό!), αλλά δεν τις χρησιμοποίησα, καθώς δεν υπήρξε ανάγκη. To ιδανικό βέβαια, ειδικά για τη συχνότητα 5G, είναι να υπάρχει "οπτική επαφή" ανάμεσα σε router και extender, αλλά είχα πολύ καλά αποτελέσματα ακόμη και όταν το λαμπάκι της κατάστασης σύνδεσης ήταν κόκκινο. Η συσκευή ζεσταίνεται όσο την έχετε στο ρεύμα, κάτι που είναι απόλυτα φυσιολογικό, αλλά ποτέ δεν υπερθερμαίνεται, ούτε και φαίνεται να επηρεάζεται η λειτουργία της από τη θερμοκρασία. Να σημειώσω πάντως ότι όταν δεν τη χρειάζομαι, τη βγάζω από την πρίζα.
Mια μέρα, έπειτα από αρκετούς μήνες, ξαφνικά το TP-Link σταμάτησε να "πιάνει" τη συχνότητα 5G, κάτι που διορθώθηκε άμεσα με ένα απλό reset της συσκευής (βάζοντας μια βελόνα στην μικρή οπή στο κάτω μέρος) και επανάληψη της διαδικασίας σύνδεσης. Αυτό ήταν και το μοναδικό "πρόβλημα" που αντιμετώπισα εδώ και έναν χρόνο.
Γενικά, όχι μόνο έμεινα απόλυτα ικανοποιημένος από το συγκεκριμένο extender, αλλά δεν το περίμενα καν να έχω τόσο καλά αποτελέσματα με μια τόσο φθηνή συσκευή. Δεν αμφισβητώ τις αρνητικές κριτικές άλλων χρηστών, αλλά αναρωτιέμαι μήπως είχαν διαφορετικό μοντέλο από το R220 (η έκδοση αναγράφεται κάτω δεξιά στο κουτί) ή μήπως υπήρχε κάποιο θέμα συμβατότητας με το router τους (αν και στο κουτί γράφει ότι λειτουργεί με όλα τα routers).
Completely USELESS as an extender. During the detection of available networks, it finds less than half of the networks that my mobile displays. It struggles to connect to the selected network, even though the placement assistant shows that the extender is at an ideal distance from the router. When, after many attempts and disconnections, it finally manages to connect to the selected network, it doesn't transmit anything. Wireless devices, mobile phones, laptops, tablets, etc., show "no internet" and display an exclamation mark next to the Wi-Fi signal, as shown in the attached image.
It only works correctly with ethernet as an access point.
Stay away from this product, it's a waste of money. On the contrary, the old TL-WA850RE that I have still works perfectly after years.
Τελείως ΑΧΡΗΣΤΟ ως extender. Κατά την ανίχνευση των διαθέσιμων δικτύων βρίσκει λιγότερα από τα μισά δίκτυα που εμφανίζει το κινητό. Δυσκολεύεται να συνδεθεί στο επιλεγμένο δίκτυο παρόλο που ο βοηθός σωστής τοποθέτησης δείχνει ότι το extender είναι σε ιδανική απόσταση από το router. Όταν μετά από πολλές προσπάθειες και αποσυνδέσεις καταφέρει επιτέλους να συνδεθεί στο επιλεγμένο δίκτυο, δεν αναμεταδίδει τίποτα. Οι ασύρματες συσκευές, κινητά τηλέφωνα, laptop, tablet κλπ. λένε "no internet" και βγάζουν θαυμαστικό πλάι στο σήμα του Wi-Fi όπως φαίνεται στην συνημμένη εικόνα.
Δουλεύει σωστά μόνο με ethernet ως access point.
Μακριά από αυτό το προϊόν, είναι πεταμένα λεφτά.
Αντίθετα το παλιό TL-WA850RE που έχω, δουλεύει ακόμα «σφαίρα» εδώ και χρόνια.

In the 2.4G it synchronizes more easily, the issue is if you want it in 5G. There things get difficult, either it will happen on the first try or it will take you all day. Every two weeks it would get stuck and needed a reset. I gave up on it and only have it on 2.4G.
I wouldn't buy it again.
Στο 2,4 G συγχρονίζει ποιο εύκολα, το θέμα είναι αν το θες στο 5 G. Εκεί τα πράγματα δυσκολεύουν, η που θα γίνει με την πρώτη η που θα σε πάρει όλη μέρα. Ανά μια δυο βδομάδες κολλούσε και ήθελε reset. Εγώ το παράτησα και το έχω μόνο στο 2,4 G.

I just installed the product.
My initial comments are as follows:
Ease of installation
Placement without proper straight lines with the router, which is located outside the house, and the signal quality is as if I am next to the router without any noticeable loss (due to poor internal wiring, I have placed the router where the line comes into the house and send the signal wirelessly throughout the house).
I have a 50Mbps VDSL line and the signal transmission is comparable to what I would get directly from the router.
An old tp link that has done its job but with a smaller signal range and speed, and occasionally needs a restart.
Anyway, with two extenders, I have solved my problem in a 200m2 house with a complex layout and walls of significant thickness.
I will come back in the future for additional observations

Τοποθέτηση χωρίς σωστές ευθείες με το ρουτερ το οποίο βρίσκεται εξωτερικά του σπιτιού και η ποιότητα σήματος είναι λες και είμαι δίπλα στο ρουτερ χωρίς αντιληπτές απώλειες (εξαιτίας κακής εσωτερικής καλωδίωσης έχω τοποθετήσει το ρουτερ στο σημείο όπου έρχεται η γραμμή στο σπίτι και στέλνω το σήμα ασύρματα σε όλο το σπίτι εσωτερικά).
Έχω 50αρα γραμμή VDSL και η αναμετάδοση σήματος είναι εφάμιλλη με αυτή που θα έπαιρνα απευθείας από το ρουτερ.
Ένα παλιό tp link που έχω κάνει τη δουλειά του αλλά με μικρότερη εμβέλεια σήματος και ταχύτητας και που κ που θέλει ρισταρτ.
Όπως και να έχει με δύο extenders έχω λύσει το πρόβλημα μου σε ένα σπίτι 200μ2 με περίπλοκη διαρρύθμιση χώρου και τοίχους με αξιόλογο πάχος.
Θα επανέλθω μελλοντικά για έξτρα παρατηρήσεις
Excellent Extender, it does its job very well. For unknown reason, when I initially connected it in the simple way mentioned by pressing the WPS button on the router, it didn't have a good signal and only connected to the 5G. On the 2.4G, although it appeared, no device could connect. When I tried through the tether app, it was as if it was a different machine. It easily connected to both 5G and 2.4G networks with much greater range, good signal, and no disconnections!! Highly recommended!!
Εξαιρετικό Extender, κάνει πολύ καλά την δουλειά του. Για άγνωστο λόγο, όταν έκανα αρχικά την σύνδεση με τον απλό τρόπο που αναφέρεται πατώντας το WPS στο router, δεν είχε καλό σήμα και συνδέθηκε μόνο στο 5G. Στο 2,4G ενώ εμφανιζόταν δεν μπορούσε να συνδεθεί καμία συσκευή. Όταν επιχείρησα μέσω της εφαρμογής tether, λες και επρόκειτο για άλλο μηχάνημα. Συνδέθηκε και με τα δύο δίκτυα 5G και 2,4G εύκολα με πολύ μεγαλύτερη εμβέλεια, καλό σήμα και χωρίς αποσυνδέσεις !! Προτείνεται !!

The router is in the adjacent apartment and my laptop is 10 meters away, with two brick walls in between. I have placed it in the middle and I have full signal at 2.4ghz.
You install it on the router from your computer and then you can configure it through the app on your mobile or you can install it directly from the app.
You can even set the LEDs to turn off during the night so that their light does not bother you. You can also disable the band that you don't need, either the 5 or the 2.4ghz.

Το κάνεις εγκατάσταση στο ρούτερ από τον υπολογιστή και μετά μπορείς να το ρυθμίσεις μέσο του app στο κινητό η μπορείς να κάνεις εγκατάσταση απευθείας από το app.
Μπορείς να ρυθμίσεις ακόμη και τα led να σβήνουν το διάστημα της νύχτας για να μην σε ενοχλεί το φως τους. Επίσης να απενεργοποιήσεις την μπάνκα που δεν χρειάζεσαι τα 5 η τα 2.4ghz.

To ιδανικό βέβαια, ειδικά για τη συχνότητα 5G, είναι να υπάρχει "οπτική επαφή" ανάμεσα σε router και extender, αλλά είχα πολύ καλά αποτελέσματα ακόμη και όταν το λαμπάκι της κατάστασης σύνδεσης ήταν κόκκινο. Η συσκευή ζεσταίνεται όσο την έχετε στο ρεύμα, κάτι που είναι απόλυτα φυσιολογικό, αλλά ποτέ δεν υπερθερμαίνεται, ούτε και φαίνεται να επηρεάζεται η λειτουργία της από τη θερμοκρασία. Να σημειώσω πάντως ότι όταν δεν τη χρειάζομαι, τη βγάζω από την πρίζα.
Mια μέρα, έπειτα από αρκετούς μήνες, ξαφνικά το TP-Link σταμάτησε να "πιάνει" τη συχνότητα 5G, κάτι που διορθώθηκε άμεσα με ένα απλό reset της συσκευής (βάζοντας μια βελόνα στην μικρή οπή στο κάτω μέρος) και επανάληψη της διαδικασίας σύνδεσης. Αυτό ήταν και το μοναδικό "πρόβλημα" που αντιμετώπισα εδώ και έναν χρόνο.
Γενικά, όχι μόνο έμεινα απόλυτα ικανοποιημένος από το συγκεκριμένο extender, αλλά δεν το περίμενα καν να έχω τόσο καλά αποτελέσματα με μια τόσο φθηνή συσκευή. Δεν αμφισβητώ τις αρνητικές κριτικές άλλων χρηστών, αλλά αναρωτιέμαι μήπως είχαν διαφορετικό μοντέλο από το R220 (η έκδοση αναγράφεται κάτω δεξιά στο κουτί) ή μήπως υπήρχε κάποιο θέμα συμβατότητας με το router τους (αν και στο κουτί γράφει ότι λειτουργεί με όλα τα routers).
Completely USELESS as an extender. During the detection of available networks, it finds less than half of the networks that my mobile displays. It struggles to connect to the selected network, even though the placement assistant shows that the extender is at an ideal distance from the router. When, after many attempts and disconnections, it finally manages to connect to the selected network, it doesn't transmit anything. Wireless devices, mobile phones, laptops, tablets, etc., show "no internet" and display an exclamation mark next to the Wi-Fi signal, as shown in the attached image.
It only works correctly with ethernet as an access point.
Stay away from this product, it's a waste of money. On the contrary, the old TL-WA850RE that I have still works perfectly after years.
Τελείως ΑΧΡΗΣΤΟ ως extender. Κατά την ανίχνευση των διαθέσιμων δικτύων βρίσκει λιγότερα από τα μισά δίκτυα που εμφανίζει το κινητό. Δυσκολεύεται να συνδεθεί στο επιλεγμένο δίκτυο παρόλο που ο βοηθός σωστής τοποθέτησης δείχνει ότι το extender είναι σε ιδανική απόσταση από το router. Όταν μετά από πολλές προσπάθειες και αποσυνδέσεις καταφέρει επιτέλους να συνδεθεί στο επιλεγμένο δίκτυο, δεν αναμεταδίδει τίποτα. Οι ασύρματες συσκευές, κινητά τηλέφωνα, laptop, tablet κλπ. λένε "no internet" και βγάζουν θαυμαστικό πλάι στο σήμα του Wi-Fi όπως φαίνεται στην συνημμένη εικόνα.
Δουλεύει σωστά μόνο με ethernet ως access point.
Μακριά από αυτό το προϊόν, είναι πεταμένα λεφτά.
Αντίθετα το παλιό TL-WA850RE που έχω, δουλεύει ακόμα «σφαίρα» εδώ και χρόνια.

Όχι δυστυχώς. Η δουλειά τους είναι να ενισχύσουν το σήμα wifi. Δηλαδή αν έχεις χ ταχύτητα ίντερνετ κοντά στο μόντεμ τότε να έχεις πάλι την ίδια σε μεγάλο σπίτι πχ 150-200τμ και σε σημεία που είχες 1 γραμμή WiFi να έχεις τουλάχιστον 3 και πάνω.
Γνωριζει κανεις αν μπορει να αλλαξει το password για να μην ειναι ιδιο με του router?
Όχι , δεν γίνεται , μπορείς να αλλάξεις το όνομα του δικτύου που εκπέμπει.

Very good extender at a good price and from a reliable and good company. I've only had it for 1 month so I can't have an opinion on durability, but I haven't had any disconnections so far. I also own the RE305 AC 1200, I can't say that I see any significant differences in speed, for what I need it covers me. The other one went to the village where I need it for more difficult conditions where external antennas help more.

Easy to set up but many times even though it gives you a signal, it doesn't provide internet, meaning that the router has a signal and you connect normally. It needs a reboot to give internet again. I bought it last year at a discounted price of around 25 euros, to boost the 5G signal in my house, and it does its job perfectly. The model I have is the R220 v3.
The connection was very easy, following the simple and understandable instructions inside the box: I plugged it into a socket next to my router (the ZTE ZXHN H288A from Nova), pressed the WPS button on the router, then the WPS button on the TP-Link... and that was it! In a minute, the extender connected to the router and worked flawlessly, providing me with full signal and the same speeds as the ZTE. You simply plug it into a socket next to your computer and connect to the new 5G and 2.4G networks created by TP-Link, which have the same names as the corresponding wireless networks of your router, with the suffix EXT, and passwords identical to those of your router. The settings are saved permanently and you don't need to set it up again. The instructions also mention other setup methods through a web browser and tether app (I don't even know what that is!), but I didn't use them as there was no need. Ideally, especially for the 5G frequency, there should be a "line of sight" between the router and the extender, but I had very good results even when the connection status light was red. The device heats up as long as it is plugged into the power, which is perfectly normal, but it never overheats, nor does its operation seem to be affected by the temperature. However, I should note that when I don't need it, I unplug it from the socket.
One day, after several months, the TP-Link suddenly stopped "catching" the 5G frequency, which was immediately fixed with a simple reset of the device (by inserting a needle into the small hole at the bottom) and repeating the connection process. That was the only "issue" I encountered in a year.
Overall, not only am I completely satisfied with this extender, but I didn't even expect to have such good results with such an inexpensive device. I don't question the negative reviews of other users, but I wonder if they had a different model than the R220 (the version is indicated at the bottom right on the box) or if there was a compatibility issue with their router (although the box states that it works with all routers).

Η σύνδεση ήταν πανεύκολη, ακολουθώντας τις απλές και κατανοητές οδηγίες μέσα στο κουτί: To έβαλα σε μια πρίζα δίπλα στο router μου (το ΖΤΕ ZXHN H288A της Nova), πάτησα το κουμπί WPS του router, μετά το κουμπί WPS του ΤP-Link.... και αυτό ήταν όλο! In the 2.4G it synchronizes more easily, the issue is if you want it in 5G. There things get difficult, either it will happen on the first try or it will take you all day. Every two weeks it would get stuck and needed a reset. I gave up on it and only have it on 2.4G.
I wouldn't buy it again.
Στο 2,4 G συγχρονίζει ποιο εύκολα, το θέμα είναι αν το θες στο 5 G. Εκεί τα πράγματα δυσκολεύουν, η που θα γίνει με την πρώτη η που θα σε πάρει όλη μέρα. Ανά μια δυο βδομάδες κολλούσε και ήθελε reset. Εγώ το παράτησα και το έχω μόνο στο 2,4 G.

I just installed the product.
My initial comments are as follows:
Ease of installation
Placement without proper straight lines with the router, which is located outside the house, and the signal quality is as if I am next to the router without any noticeable loss (due to poor internal wiring, I have placed the router where the line comes into the house and send the signal wirelessly throughout the house).
I have a 50Mbps VDSL line and the signal transmission is comparable to what I would get directly from the router.
An old tp link that has done its job but with a smaller signal range and speed, and occasionally needs a restart.
Anyway, with two extenders, I have solved my problem in a 200m2 house with a complex layout and walls of significant thickness.
I will come back in the future for additional observations

Τοποθέτηση χωρίς σωστές ευθείες με το ρουτερ το οποίο βρίσκεται εξωτερικά του σπιτιού και η ποιότητα σήματος είναι λες και είμαι δίπλα στο ρουτερ χωρίς αντιληπτές απώλειες (εξαιτίας κακής εσωτερικής καλωδίωσης έχω τοποθετήσει το ρουτερ στο σημείο όπου έρχεται η γραμμή στο σπίτι και στέλνω το σήμα ασύρματα σε όλο το σπίτι εσωτερικά).
Έχω 50αρα γραμμή VDSL και η αναμετάδοση σήματος είναι εφάμιλλη με αυτή που θα έπαιρνα απευθείας από το ρουτερ.
Ένα παλιό tp link που έχω κάνει τη δουλειά του αλλά με μικρότερη εμβέλεια σήματος και ταχύτητας και που κ που θέλει ρισταρτ.
Όπως και να έχει με δύο extenders έχω λύσει το πρόβλημα μου σε ένα σπίτι 200μ2 με περίπλοκη διαρρύθμιση χώρου και τοίχους με αξιόλογο πάχος.
Θα επανέλθω μελλοντικά για έξτρα παρατηρήσεις
Excellent Extender, it does its job very well. For unknown reason, when I initially connected it in the simple way mentioned by pressing the WPS button on the router, it didn't have a good signal and only connected to the 5G. On the 2.4G, although it appeared, no device could connect. When I tried through the tether app, it was as if it was a different machine. It easily connected to both 5G and 2.4G networks with much greater range, good signal, and no disconnections!! Highly recommended!!
Εξαιρετικό Extender, κάνει πολύ καλά την δουλειά του. Για άγνωστο λόγο, όταν έκανα αρχικά την σύνδεση με τον απλό τρόπο που αναφέρεται πατώντας το WPS στο router, δεν είχε καλό σήμα και συνδέθηκε μόνο στο 5G. Στο 2,4G ενώ εμφανιζόταν δεν μπορούσε να συνδεθεί καμία συσκευή. Όταν επιχείρησα μέσω της εφαρμογής tether, λες και επρόκειτο για άλλο μηχάνημα. Συνδέθηκε και με τα δύο δίκτυα 5G και 2,4G εύκολα με πολύ μεγαλύτερη εμβέλεια, καλό σήμα και χωρίς αποσυνδέσεις !! Προτείνεται !!

The router is in the adjacent apartment and my laptop is 10 meters away, with two brick walls in between. I have placed it in the middle and I have full signal at 2.4ghz.
You install it on the router from your computer and then you can configure it through the app on your mobile or you can install it directly from the app.
You can even set the LEDs to turn off during the night so that their light does not bother you. You can also disable the band that you don't need, either the 5 or the 2.4ghz.

Το κάνεις εγκατάσταση στο ρούτερ από τον υπολογιστή και μετά μπορείς να το ρυθμίσεις μέσο του app στο κινητό η μπορείς να κάνεις εγκατάσταση απευθείας από το app.
Μπορείς να ρυθμίσεις ακόμη και τα led να σβήνουν το διάστημα της νύχτας για να μην σε ενοχλεί το φως τους. Επίσης να απενεργοποιήσεις την μπάνκα που δεν χρειάζεσαι τα 5 η τα 2.4ghz.

Πολύ καλό extender σε καλή τιμή και από μία αξιόπιστη και καλή εταιρεία . Το έχω μόνο 1 μήνα οπότε δεν μπορώ να έχω άποψη για αντοχή , αλλά από αποσυνδέσεις δεν είχα μέχρι στιγμής . Κάτοχος και του RE305 AC 1200 , δε μπορώ να πω ότι βλέπω ιδιαίτερες διαφορές στην ταχύτητα , για αυτό που το χρειάζομαι με καλύπτει . Το άλλο πήγε στο χωριό που το χρειάζομαι για ποιο δύσκολες συνθήκες που λόγω εξωτερικών κεραιών βοηθά περισσότερο .
Easy to set up but many times even though it gives you a signal, it doesn't provide internet, meaning that the router has a signal and you connect normally. It needs a reboot to give internet again. I don't know if this happened only with mine and I didn't change it because I got it for the vacation home and now I'm on holiday elsewhere
Εύκολο στο σεταρισμα αλλά πολλές φορές ενω σου δίνει σήμα δεν δινει ιντερνετ, εννοείτε οτι το ρούτερ εχει σήμα και συνδέεσαι κανονικά. Θελει reboot για να ξαναδώσει ιντερνετ. Δεν ξερω αν έτυχε στο δικο μου μονο και δεν το αλλαξα γιατι το πήρα για το εξοχικο και τώρα ειμαι διακοπές αλλού,
I bought it last year at a discounted price of around 25 euros, to boost the 5G signal in my house, and it does its job perfectly. The model I have is the R220 v3.
The connection was very easy, following the simple and understandable instructions inside the box: I plugged it into a socket next to my router (the ZTE ZXHN H288A from Nova), pressed the WPS button on the router, then the WPS button on the TP-Link... and that was it! In a minute, the extender connected to the router and worked flawlessly, providing me with full signal and the same speeds as the ZTE. You simply plug it into a socket next to your computer and connect to the new 5G and 2.4G networks created by TP-Link, which have the same names as the corresponding wireless networks of your router, with the suffix EXT, and passwords identical to those of your router. The settings are saved permanently and you don't need to set it up again. The instructions also mention other setup methods through a web browser and tether app (I don't even know what that is!), but I didn't use them as there was no need. Ideally, especially for the 5G frequency, there should be a "line of sight" between the router and the extender, but I had very good results even when the connection status light was red. The device heats up as long as it is plugged into the power, which is perfectly normal, but it never overheats, nor does its operation seem to be affected by the temperature. However, I should note that when I don't need it, I unplug it from the socket.
One day, after several months, the TP-Link suddenly stopped "catching" the 5G frequency, which was immediately fixed with a simple reset of the device (by inserting a needle into the small hole at the bottom) and repeating the connection process. That was the only "issue" I encountered in a year.
Overall, not only am I completely satisfied with this extender, but I didn't even expect to have such good results with such an inexpensive device. I don't question the negative reviews of other users, but I wonder if they had a different model than the R220 (the version is indicated at the bottom right on the box) or if there was a compatibility issue with their router (although the box states that it works with all routers).
Το αγόρασα πέρυσι σε τιμή προσφοράς γύρω στα 25 ευρώ, για να ενισχύσω το σήμα 5G στο σπίτι μου και κάνει μια χαρά τη δουλειά του. Το μοντέλο που έχω είναι το R220 v3.
Η σύνδεση ήταν πανεύκολη, ακολουθώντας τις απλές και κατανοητές οδηγίες μέσα στο κουτί: To έβαλα σε μια πρίζα δίπλα στο router μου (το ΖΤΕ ZXHN H288A της Nova), πάτησα το κουμπί WPS του router, μετά το κουμπί WPS του ΤP-Link.... και αυτό ήταν όλο! Σ' ένα λεπτό τo extender συνδέθηκε με το router και λειτουργούσε άψογα, παρέχοντάς μου full σήμα και ταχύτητες ίδιες με αυτές του ZTE. Απλά το βάζετε σε μια πρίζα δίπλα στον υπολογιστή σας και συνδέεστε στα νέα δίκτυα 5G και 2.4G που δημιουργεί το ΤP-Link, τα οποία έχουν ίδια ονόματα με τα αντίστοιχα ασύρματα δίκτυα του router και κατάληξη ΕΧΤ, και passwords ίδια με αυτά του router σας. Οι ρυθμίσεις αποθηκεύονται μόνιμα και δεν χρειάζεται να το σετάρετε ξανά. Στις οδηγίες αναφέρονται και άλλες μέθοδοι setup μέσω web browser και tether app (ούτε καν ξέρω τι είναι αυτό!), αλλά δεν τις χρησιμοποίησα, καθώς δεν υπήρξε ανάγκη. To ιδανικό βέβαια, ειδικά για τη συχνότητα 5G, είναι να υπάρχει "οπτική επαφή" ανάμεσα σε router και extender, αλλά είχα πολύ καλά αποτελέσματα ακόμη και όταν το λαμπάκι της κατάστασης σύνδεσης ήταν κόκκινο. Η συσκευή ζεσταίνεται όσο την έχετε στο ρεύμα, κάτι που είναι απόλυτα φυσιολογικό, αλλά ποτέ δεν υπερθερμαίνεται, ούτε και φαίνεται να επηρεάζεται η λειτουργία της από τη θερμοκρασία. Να σημειώσω πάντως ότι όταν δεν τη χρειάζομαι, τη βγάζω από την πρίζα.
Mια μέρα, έπειτα από αρκετούς μήνες, ξαφνικά το TP-Link σταμάτησε να "πιάνει" τη συχνότητα 5G, κάτι που διορθώθηκε άμεσα με ένα απλό reset της συσκευής (βάζοντας μια βελόνα στην μικρή οπή στο κάτω μέρος) και επανάληψη της διαδικασίας σύνδεσης. Αυτό ήταν και το μοναδικό "πρόβλημα" που αντιμετώπισα εδώ και έναν χρόνο.
Γενικά, όχι μόνο έμεινα απόλυτα ικανοποιημένος από το συγκεκριμένο extender, αλλά δεν το περίμενα καν να έχω τόσο καλά αποτελέσματα με μια τόσο φθηνή συσκευή. Δεν αμφισβητώ τις αρνητικές κριτικές άλλων χρηστών, αλλά αναρωτιέμαι μήπως είχαν διαφορετικό μοντέλο από το R220 (η έκδοση αναγράφεται κάτω δεξιά στο κουτί) ή μήπως υπήρχε κάποιο θέμα συμβατότητας με το router τους (αν και στο κουτί γράφει ότι λειτουργεί με όλα τα routers).
Completely USELESS as an extender. During the detection of available networks, it finds less than half of the networks that my mobile displays. It struggles to connect to the selected network, even though the placement assistant shows that the extender is at an ideal distance from the router. When, after many attempts and disconnections, it finally manages to connect to the selected network, it doesn't transmit anything. Wireless devices, mobile phones, laptops, tablets, etc., show "no internet" and display an exclamation mark next to the Wi-Fi signal, as shown in the attached image.
It only works correctly with ethernet as an access point.
Stay away from this product, it's a waste of money. On the contrary, the old TL-WA850RE that I have still works perfectly after years.
Τελείως ΑΧΡΗΣΤΟ ως extender. Κατά την ανίχνευση των διαθέσιμων δικτύων βρίσκει λιγότερα από τα μισά δίκτυα που εμφανίζει το κινητό. Δυσκολεύεται να συνδεθεί στο επιλεγμένο δίκτυο παρόλο που ο βοηθός σωστής τοποθέτησης δείχνει ότι το extender είναι σε ιδανική απόσταση από το router. Όταν μετά από πολλές προσπάθειες και αποσυνδέσεις καταφέρει επιτέλους να συνδεθεί στο επιλεγμένο δίκτυο, δεν αναμεταδίδει τίποτα. Οι ασύρματες συσκευές, κινητά τηλέφωνα, laptop, tablet κλπ. λένε "no internet" και βγάζουν θαυμαστικό πλάι στο σήμα του Wi-Fi όπως φαίνεται στην συνημμένη εικόνα.
Δουλεύει σωστά μόνο με ethernet ως access point.
Μακριά από αυτό το προϊόν, είναι πεταμένα λεφτά.
Αντίθετα το παλιό TL-WA850RE που έχω, δουλεύει ακόμα «σφαίρα» εδώ και χρόνια.
