Indicates how viscous a lubricant is. It is determined by 2 numbers. The first with the letter "W" (Winter) refers to how the oil flows when it is cold. Petrol

Suitable for vehicles with petrol engines. Designed to meet the combustion and lubrication requirements of these types of engines.

Petroleum

Suitable for diesel engines. Meets operational and lubrication requirements under greater stress and pressure.

SN

The API SN, available since 2010, was designed for modern engines, including those with turbochargers and emission control systems. It provides high protection against deposits and sludge, while ensuring compatibility with catalysts.

C3

The ACEA C3 specification describes high-performance Low SAPS lubricants. They are designed for engines with emission reduction systems such as DPF and SCR, providing wear protection and engine cleanliness.

Dexos2

Dexos2 is GM's lubricant specification for diesel engines and mainly concerns vehicles that require high performance in difficult conditions. Lubricants that meet this specification offer protection against wear, oxidation, and deposits, improving the operation of exhaust cleaning systems (such as DPFs). They are also designed to enhance fuel economy and engine durability.
