Description

The model 24PFS5505 from the company Philips, has a screen size of 24". This size is recommended for placement in smaller rooms, kitchens, boats, etc.

The resolution of the TV is Full HD. TVs with Full HD resolution are aimed at consumers looking for higher image quality compared to HD Ready TVs. The Full HD resolution, which amounts to 1920 x 1080 pixels, offers more detailed image reproduction, making these TVs suitable for watching movies, sports events, gaming, and other entertainment activities with higher demands on image quality.
They are usually aimed at consumers looking for good image quality without investing in more expensive TVs with higher quality resolutions, such as 4K.

The panel of the TV is Edge LED. The main advantages of the Edge LED panel in televisions are their slim design and lower energy consumption compared to other types of panels. Additionally, they can produce high-quality images with extremely bright highlights and deep black colors, making them ideal for watching movies and TV shows in dark rooms.
Televisions with Edge LED panels are usually more affordable compared to televisions with Full Array LED or OLED panels. However, televisions with Edge LED panels typically have lower quality uniform brightness compared to televisions with Full Array LED or OLED panels, as the light sources are only located at the edges of the screen.

Regarding HDR, it is equipped with. High Dynamic Range (HDR) and its various types generally improve the picture quality of televisions and other video playback devices. This is achieved by increasing the dynamic range of colors and brightness of images.
The advantages of HDR are more vivid and natural colors, deeper blacks and brighter whites, more details in the shadows and highlights of the image, and more accurate color reproduction. Additionally, filmmakers can leverage HDR to produce movies with more natural and realistic images.
Finally, devices with HDR support can play content that is encoded with HDR, offering a more impressive viewing experience for the user.

The television has PVR capability. PVR on televisions refers to the function of a TV receiver with a built-in hard drive, allowing you to record TV programs and store them on the TV's hard drive.
This way, you can record your favorite programs and watch them when you want, instead of having to watch them live during their broadcast.

It is a fairly decent room television. The screen and sound quality are quite good. The menu is slightly complicated as you have to place the channels in your favorites in order to change the channel order. The viewing angle on the side may not be the best due to the lack of an IPS panel. Overall, I have had it for about a month and I am very satisfied. I believe it is worth its money.

The device does not have HDR or Wi-Fi as stated in the specifications. I bought it because it is a brand new model and to avoid the old ones that may be used as display TVs with countless hours of operation on the shelf.
Completely basic and honest TV that delivers everything it promises. Bright screen with good contrast and deep black. The sound is very high quality but not loud, which is not necessary for a 24'' TV that will be used in small spaces anyway.
The remote control has some peculiarities and let's not forget that the only way to arrange the channels in the correct order is to put them in a list of favorites, organize them there, and then select them.
Connectivity with PC is possible through VGA for those who have old graphics cards and two HDMI ports. Unfortunately, no Wi-Fi as mentioned before.
I hope TPVision lives up to the Philips name over time and with this model. In conclusion, a very good choice for those looking for something high quality in the range of 150-160€.
