This review is about the edition: Deluxe

I got it solely for its steelcase, which is very nice. Apart from that, we're talking about a game that is not for everyone. Personally, I didn't like it that much. Within 4 hours, I felt it was repetitive and boring. I have never felt this way about a game before. If it seems interesting to you from various reviews, then go ahead, get it for 15 euros, I believe it's worth trying. I didn't like the graphics in the PS4 version. Quite a few bugs and pop-ups. Quite a few red flags in general. THE MAP IS TERRIBLE. That's about it.

    Graphics: 2/5
    Story: 3/5
    Gameplay: 3/5 (always the same)
    Music: 3.5/5
    Map and overall environment: 2/5

The game in a few words is very good.
Positives: A completely mind-blowing story, interesting and unique to the point where you couldn't even imagine what you're seeing. Incredibly addictive gameplay, the provided weapons feel powerful and the psychic powers possessed by the protagonist make the gameplay satisfying. Finally, the combination of design, graphics, and proper use of lighting make each room artistically masterpiece.
Negatives: The character animations are not the best and BEWARE! It lags quite a bit on a regular PS4 and the frames constantly drop (it's a worldwide issue) so if you're not tolerant of this issue, I can't wholeheartedly recommend the game for this reason.

The best way to describe this game is "Hellblade but with guns". It has the same strange-creepy atmosphere and a strange but interesting plot. The movement and gameplay, especially later on, are amazing. The only negative aspect is the graphics, or rather the inability of previous generation consoles to run them. On a regular PS4, it's a bit blurry due to the low resolution, but on a PS5, the graphics are truly stunning.

In the trailer that I saw, I was impressed. However, when I played it, the game was disappointing. Where do I start... The character is indifferent, the enemies are monotonous, and from a certain point onwards, predictable... The story is uninteresting and I had to watch YouTube several times to continue it... The map is difficult and from the middle of the game onwards, you start to understand it because the parts of the map look very similar to each other. Many glitches and I had to exit and enter the game several times. Especially if you stop it and play it again... Forget it... In conclusion... Thankfully, I got it for free from Ps plus...

The game is aimed at gaming enthusiasts, it is a masterpiece and there is no other like it on the PS4. It doesn't resemble any other game, it is in a category of its own.
I will start with a personal story that happened about 13 years ago and I will end with the game.
Someone from a country under a communist regime had told me that they were shown propaganda material that showed and said that in the Soviet Union there is the KGB, where they conduct various experiments and that there are people who have magical abilities such as walking, teleportation to different places, telekinesis, and that there are people who telepathically send certain "frequencies" to others and ultimately disable them...
    I found it so ridiculous...
Well, 13 years later, I played this game that described exactly that, but it clearly refers to the other service on the other side of the ocean...

Control belongs to the Universe created by Remedy and consists of 3 games (Alan Wake, Quantum Break, Control). If you are not familiar with this universe, then the game will definitely seem strange to you and you will often not understand what you are seeing and why you are seeing it.
Even if you have never played any of Remedy's other games, if you are willing to read and pay attention to everything happening in the game, then you will eventually be able to form a good picture and understand the story. In other words, Control is not for everyone. It is for those who are curious and enjoy observing and reading everything, and not for those who skip cutscenes just to move on to the "next shooter".

As for the performance of the game on a regular PS4, I only noticed frame drops during intense fights and nowhere else. In other words, it is perfectly playable on this console.

A Potato that talks about parallel dimensions, etc., but also has a bit of Gun Play because otherwise you wouldn't do anything, just an old bad copy of Psi-Ops for the old ones. I don't even know why to tell someone to play this game, the only thing I'm sure of is that they will regret it

It is important that it now runs smoothly on the PS4 Pro. Nice game, unique, strange. Nice horror elements.
As for the negatives. Difficult map, repetitive enemies. Average storyline, indifferent protagonist, and monotonous environment. It is worth it at a low price.

It was a very pleasant surprise for me. I was expecting worse, but it has left me speechless. The plot is very good. It lacks a bit in shooting and has some technical issues with the fps, but it's not discouraging enough to make you give up on it.

Strange, difficult, unpredictable, addictive. That's the only way to describe Control. If you can handle your mind being "salad" by the story and the graphics, start playing it.
UNBELIEVABLE story, "dystopian" graphics with amazing color palettes, incredible sound, fully interactive environment, and set up in such a way that it permanently scares you.
One of the must-play single-player games that I personally believe everyone should have played.

This review is about the edition: Standard

The story confuses you, the gameplay is not bad, nothing special, well designed especially on PC with RTX ON. It's not worth more than 15 euros

Quite a good game, could be even better. The map is not that great, average in difficulty. Just finished the extra episode, quite long, I would say half the length of the main game

It has excellent graphics, the supernatural movements of the protagonist are very nice, it is fast and that's why you don't get bored, because you gain more and more abilities. But at some point, I got stuck a lot and couldn't progress in the game.

  • Incredible game, a very strange scenario that doesn't deserve everything but makes you want more just like its gameplay with amazing music and effects, give it a try and you won't regret it

  • I got it solely for its steelcase, which is very nice.

  • It's not something amazing. Nowadays, all games of the same category are copy-pasting each other. It's a relatively good game but not different and definitely not impressive

  • The game in a few words is very good.

  • Good game overall, but compared to Alan Wake, which is from the same company, it's not as good. It doesn't have the same captivating story and environment to draw me in. However, it's worth the price.
    P.S.
    The map is really bad.
