The box says Bluetooth 5.0, which was a pleasant surprise. Personally, I don't know how to verify if it's 5.0 or 4.2. I got it to listen to the TV with Bluetooth headphones without waking up anyone in the next room. It connects quite easily the first time during pairing, but does it forget if a lot of time passes? If the headphones pair with another device? I haven't exactly figured out when it happens, but it does happen. I also had difficulty connecting with two pairs of Bluetooth headphones simultaneously. From what I understood, it is within its capabilities, but since it didn't work easily the first time, I didn't insist. One level of difficulty is that you're trying to connect two "blind" components without the help of screen information. An additional level of difficulty in this case was that as soon as I opened, for example, the second pair of headphones, they would connect to the mobile device they usually connect to. I might have had to turn off Bluetooth on all the mobile devices, close the device as well to enter the pairing process again, and then connect with the second pair of headphones (without losing the pairing with the first pair).
